Go somewhere else! Horrible experience. Took a day off from work and had to go two weeks without contacts, which I'm unable to wear glasses, only to get there and be told they couldn't do lasik without running a single test on me and didn't have time to test for cataract surgery. Complete waste of time. Never going back there again.

Dr. McFarland did my cataract surgery and Dr. Newbolt did the follow up YAG laser procedure. The results exceeded my expectations. Dr. Newbolt is going to do LASIK surgery on my right eye to make a minor adjustment. I am very happy with the care I received at McFarland Eye Care. Doctors McFarland and Newbolt did a great job. They carefully explained what they were going to do and what I should expect. The technicians were very polite and professional. The scheduling lady worked with me to get me in quickly for follow up visits. McFarland Eye Care should be used by other eye clinics as an example

They performed cataract surgery on me over 11 years ago, with my visual acuity going from 20/2000 to 20/20 with a little astigmatism (I was originally unable to drive at night when I was 35). They also took care of a recent corneal abrasion, prescribing medication and methods to help it heal. Every time I'm there, the employees are enjoying their work.

I was impressed with McFarland from the moment I walked in the door for my lasik evaluation. Top notch service all around! Everyone was always smiling, friendly, professional, and efficient. All staff members involved in my care were very knowledgeable about the entire process and were very helpful in answering my questions. Update to review: I've since adjusted my review following more recent interactions with both my doctor at McFarland Eye Care and the staff. I received a call from my doctor in under 48 hours following my call cancelling an appointment and writing the review. He took time to hear my perspective and offered to see me again or refer me to other providers. He also apologized for cancelling our original appointment and explained he had to tend to an emergency. I have a tight schedule currently because I am planning to move to a new town, and made this known; my doctor offered to have me come in

I cannot express how grateful I am for the staff at McFarland, Dr. Wilkes, and the Surgery Center! When my daughter had a cyst on her eyelid and could barely open her eye, we were turned away by two other Dr's and referred to Children's (with a month long wait)! Dr. Wilkes agreed to see her at the Pine Bluff clinic and scheduled surgery in LR the next day. The nurses at the surgery center went out of their way to ease her anxiety! I can't say better things about the McFarland Eye Center! I had lasik a couple years ago here and it was such a great experience. They take such special care to make sure you are comfortable, and leave with medicine so you can sleep through the day. When you awake, perfect vision, whoo hoo! I've heard horror stories from other doctors where people aren't given pain killers or rushed out the door after the procedure. Not here! Also, I was active military at the time which means I got 1.2 off my procedure (total cost was $2000)!!! I would highly recommend McFarland Eye Center if you
