Founded in the spring of 1972 in Springfield, Missouri, Southern Missouri Containers is the flagship company of SMC Packaging Group. Since its inception, the company has grown to a 650,000+ square foot facility with over 375 employees.

Yes we do. We stock a variety of different size boxes and ancillary products like strapping, carton sealing tape and stretch film as well. Contact your sales rep to get an up to date list with pricing. SMC is staffed with teams of full time structural designers at each location. These designers are equipped with CAD stations and automated cutting tables for accurate and quick responses to your needs.
SMC Packaging Group installed our new Latitude Mini-Flexo-Folder-Gluer at our Springfield corrugated box plant in late 2016 and small box production has increased dramatically since. The Three-Color, Run-While-Setup machine is rated at 24,000 cartons per hour, and is consistently running at that rate.
