It is our mission at Brookings Family Dentistry to be a compassionate, family-centered practice that promotes healthy and beautiful smiles for the entire family. Dr. Hilbrands and his wife, Miranda, met in SIoux Falls, just after Miranda had graduated from college, and as Nate was applying for dental school.
Dr. Nathan Hilbrands is a South Dakota native, proudly graduating from South Dakota State University in 2007. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa in 2013. Dr. Hilbrands and his wife, Miranda, moved to Brookings in 2013 after completing dental school.
He was awarded the National Health Service Corps Scholarship prior to dental school and practiced at the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Health Clinic as the Chief Dental Officer for the last 5 years.Dr. Hilbrands is excited to be serving the people of Brookings and the surrounding communities with quality family oriented care.

At Brookings Family Dentistry our goal is always prevention but we understand issues do arise with your teeth. Fillings are one of the most common procedures, and one of the least invasive ways to restore cavities to return a tooth to health and beauty.
Implants are state-of-the-art treatment for single tooth replacement as well as improving the function of dentures. The defining feature of dental implants that make them so special is that they replace not only the portion of the tooth you normally see in the mouth, but also the root which is the support system for a natural tooth.

I had my daughter in for toothache that she's been fighting for a couple weeks. She ended up having to have two teeth pulled. She's 30-year-old autistic women .... THIS is the first dentist she ever seen ,that she has ever said "she liked them!! ". And her world that's a big deal! Thank you Brookings family dentistry!

My son and I have been going there for about two years now, and they are awesome! The staff is very friendly, and Miranda does an amazing job with cleaning (my teeth have been so healthy!). My four year old son loves going there and loves brushing his teeth to show Nate and the staff. He even goes on his own to get his teeth clean while I get mine done at the same time, such a time saver!! If you are looking to establish with a dentist or looking for a new one, this is your place!
