Eddy Jones built this traditional Maine sporting camp with help from families in this area. Additionally, we have learned that Eddy started out with one cabin and just kept adding cabins each year. In one of his brochures, Eddy wrote, These camps were started in 1945 after a ten year search for the ideal location.
Many guests have asked me about what to use for lures in our waters. As a general rule in the Spring, in-line spinners, crank baits and spinner baits are a pretty good bet. As summer warms our waters, fishing speeds need to slow down and plastics become a good choice. Grub tails, jigs, worms, top water baits are all really good.
Make your adventure at our Maine lake cabin rentals complete with an exciting outdoor guided trip. All of guides have many years of experience on our waters. They have extensive knowledge in fishing, wildlife and the great outdoors. This is a real opportunity for our guests to "step back in time" and experience for a day what our area is really all about and enjoy a great day on the water.
Interstate 95 North to Lincoln (exit 55); turn right off ramp on to three mile access road; take second left onto Rt.6 East; stay on Rt.6 through Lincoln to Topsfield; turn right on Rt.1 South into Princeton. Turn right onto West Street (across from the Peabody House). The Long Lake Camps road is out one mile on the right.

I love coming here. Being from Maine it is always special coming into camp.....it feels like coming home! The cabins and food are great. Linda and Steve are the best and have done an amazing job in renovating basically the whole camp. Steve is an amazing Guide....he basically taught me how to fish! Love it here

Long Lake Camps is fantastic, I have been coming there for the past 10 years and look forward to coming back every year. The camps are clean and well taken care of. The food in the dining room is excellent and the staff is extremely helpful and kind. Do yourself a favor and book Steve as your guide to go fishing, he is without question the best guide I have ever fished with. Make sure you do shore lunch with him...he cooks as good as he guides!

This place is great. Some of the cabins are rustic but we love that. All the amenities we wanted are here. We also rented a boat for the day and had a blast fishing all over the lakes here. The sunsets are truly AMAZING!! We will definitely be back!!! The views are stunning. Plenty of smallmouth bass and largemouth in the lilly pads. We had a bald eagle come down and take a pickerel we caught right off the water in front of us on the fourth of July no less!!! It was surreal.

Worst place i have ever stayed. The cabins are desperately in need of repairs. They are over priced for what you get...they expect you to do all the housekeeping before leaving and they have a housekeeping staff supposedly. They are infested with spiders, dirty and the owners are constantly critiquing every move you make and are so rude. You can't even park at your cabin, you have to park in their small parking area and walk to your cabin. For what they charge a night one would think they would do some much needed maintenance to these cabins and actually clean them. I would not recommend anyone

I would give it a half star if i could, must be the owners that are rateing it 5. The cabins are nothing special floors are very uneaven and theres Nothing special about them. What they charge for you to stay there they should deliver you meals. Theres spiders every where and its very drafty and the roof leaks. Im not making this up fokes..... Every time you turn around the owners are spying on you to see what you are doing. Thy expect you to do the linning and sweep the floors exc...... Um they have house keepers? If you're cabin sleeps six asnd you have six guess what your getting charged $100

We have been going to Long Lake camps for 25 years, and three different owners. Lynn and Steve and their staff do such an amazing job. We have been all over the country in different camps and theirs is the best. Amanda does a terrific job in seeing that guests really enjoy their time at Long Lake. It's truly a great family vacation.
