We believe everyone should have access to mental health care and support regardless of their insurance status or income. Our volunteer staff of therapists, psychiatrists, social workers, and advocates helps people get the care they need to live safe, healthy, less stressful lives. Our volunteer clinicians are either currently employed at or retired from various well-known mental health agencies and educational institutions or private practice.
64% of our funding comes from individuals, churches and local businesses. Individuals give directly to the Center, through United Way's donor designation program, or through the State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA). In addition, we receive grants from private foundations and support from local churches, banks and businesses.

Services
If you need counseling and you are either uninsured or unable to afford the cost of your copayments, we can help. If you are unsure about whether you qualify, just give us a call. We'll be happy to help you figure out what you need and who can help you. If you are eligible for our services, we'll schedule you for an evaluation appointment with our director.
Licensed clinicians can volunteer as little as one hour every week or two (or as much as they want) to provide care for those in need. Our volunteers love their time here. There is little paperwork, and they get to work with highly-motivated (and very grateful) individuals! We've had chiropractors, massage therapists, yoga instructors, and reiki practitioners in the past and would love to offer those services again.
Provide medication and support to a man who has just lost his job and is debilitated by depression and anxiety. Provide support to a person facing the multiple stigmas associated with gender nonconformity, poverty, and mental illness. The Center is saving my life. I had nowhere to turn when I lost my job.
