Mrs. Tinsley leaves to cherish her memories three daughters; Pam McCray, Sharwan Tinsley, Tessa Tinsley, six siblings; Yvonne Saunders, Wanda Howell, Debra Prince, Stacey Howell, Percy Howell Jr., Kenny Howell, nine grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Facial coverings required.
Condolences to the family of Mr. Harold G. Shepherd of Selma, NC. Mr. Shepherd worked most of his life as a concrete contractor. He leaves to mourn his loss, wife Rev. Frances Shepherd, two sons; Decaris, Shelton, two grandchildren; D'Andre, Tymetrus, four brothers; Alvester, Elmo, James Wesley, Edward, six sisters; Irene, Velvaline, Elizabeth, Mildred, Bernice, Juliet and a host of other relatives and friends.

When a person dies at home, you should notify the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services immediately. They will advise you of the proper procedures to follow in having the body transferred from the residence. When a death occurs at a hospital, the family should first authorize the hospital to release the body to the Walter Sanders Funeral Home.

If I could give this funeral home 10 stars I certainly would! Never have I seen such caring, respectful and helpful people as the people that run this funeral home. We dealt with Tony and he was such a huge help and very patient with us. We were totally lost and he helped us each step of the way when our beloved mother passed away. He patiently went over every detail with us and explained everything in detail. There’s not enough words to describe the heartfelt gratitude I feel for Tony and his services. Thank you so much Tony!!

When one is giving the task to bury a love one the steps are much easier when you have a family business that knows the community and can provide a work passion along with genuine sympathy; I wouldn't have it know other way. I came across Walter Sanders Funeral Home by Googling local funeral homes because I was new to the Smithfield, NC area and my husband had recently passed. This funeral home had 5 star reviews and I know why now. Tony Nixon, the funeral director, expressed condolences and answered all my questions and also guided me through the process one has to go through when there's a death. The service was exceptional and moving. I highly recommend Walter Sanders Funeral Home for the care and respect of your loved one's passing if you reside in the Smithfield, NC, area.

My experience with Walter Sanders funeral home was Exceptionally Professional. During my time of bereavement of the passing of my mom, Tony Nixon and the team made making the arrangements so effortless and smooth. With 500 plus family and friends on the day of the funeral I'm constantly getting phone calls on how beautiful the Home Going Celebration was! I highly recommend the services of the this funeral home who went above and beyond with prompt and knowledgeable care after the loss of our love.

I needed a certificated copy of my ex-husband's death certificate and Tony came through for me. He was so helpful and gracious. I live out of state, far away and he was the go to man. I would not have an reservations about using Walter Sanders Funeral Home for your end of life needs. Or any other services.
