Silver Summit Dental was founded by Doug Laney after years of consulting with other dental practices to help them improve their operations. Due to this, Doug decided to open Silver Summit Dental in Herriman. His philosophy is that a partnership between the doctor and practice management delivers superior dental care and an overall pleasant experience.
Dr. Hung Pham completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to pursue a postgraduate degree and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2018. He also completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) program in dental medicine at the University of Utah Hospital in 2019.

White or dental fillings have been used predominantly to fill cavities and make aesthetic changes to the teeth. They are either made from composite resin or dental-grade ceramic, as they can be customized according to the color and contour of the natural teeth. Amalgam is a mixture of mercury and one other metal (usually silver).
The root canal is a central cavity present in the middle of the teeth. It houses the dental pulp, composed of the nerves and blood vessels that provide sensation and nourishment to the teeth. The infection of the root canal can be a significant oral concern, which can even lead to tooth loss. Hence, root canal therapy will have to be performed to save the tooth from being extracted.

WORST DENTIST I’VE EVER GONE TO!!! The doctor had the worst bedside manner I’ve ever seen from a doctor. I told him several concerns I had with pain and requested information about Invisalign and other things. When he came in, he didn’t tell me his name, didn’t say hi, didn’t even tell me how many cavities I had, didn’t address my concerns-NOTHING! I found out after he left the room from the dental hygienist that I had 8 cavities. It just didn’t seem right. A week later, I went to a different dentist to get a second opinion and they only found 4 cavities!!! Save yourself money, time

I had a procedure done that took 3 hours and there was no pain and the caring staff was so amazing they all made sure I was doing okay and asked more than once if I needed anything. I highly recommend Silver Summit as a priority one dentist office. Thank you so much to the amazing staff for showing so much love and concern with a job well done.

I had an amazing appointment at Silver Summit recently. They have a wonderful staff who treat you like an old friend. (Joey at the front desk Is so friendly and knowledgeable. Maddie, my hygienist was gentle, personable and explained everything as she worked.) Dr. Pham was professional and very personable. Then, to top it off, Greg (sorry, forgot his last name) offered to pick me up and take me back home when I realize that I couldn’t find my purse with car key, insurance card etc. Very impressive in an emergency situation!! Great Dentists and always have good service with cleanings and dental work. I would just say be cautious of billing. This situation has happened 3 times to us. The most recent that happened was my husband needed a tooth pulled due to a prior dentist (not here) doing a root canal wrong. We asked how much this would cost and she said your insurance will cover it. Ok, great so we schedule and have the work done. Then we get a call that we owe $500.00. We questioned why, we were told (we still have all the communication) insurance would cover it. Her response is "I can't guarantee what insurance will

First and foremost HATE THE DENTIST, then I came across this group. Everyone from the front office, ownership, dentists and assistants were top class. Extremely quick and professional and also very kind and easy to work with. I have had major problems with multiple teeth.. I reached out and did an X-ray and even though they were booked out for weeks they got me in within a freaking day because of the condition of my issues. So grateful for them. 100/5 stars.

I can't recommend Silver Summit Dental enough! I hadn't been to the dentist in 2 years since I moved to Utah and have had frequent gum bleeding so I knew it was well overdue for me to come in. It was a very painful appointment for me with the deep cleaning but something that was much needed. I ended up having 3 cavities which was not surprising since almost every time I have to go to the dentist, I have at least one cavity. I have always had dental anxiety because of this and even though I was in a lot of pain, the hygienist Amanda was the sweetest person ever. She really walked me through

Called to see if they could fit last second appointments and the young lady wanted to be combative about what our insurance needs are after have already called a verified what was left on our insurance and knowing we'd be spending about 2,000 to get all the work we needed done. I would never recommend the dentist based off the customer service I received today.

I have traditionally hated the dentist - until I found Silver Summit Dental. Thi-ly, the receptionist, very patiently helped me figure out all the messy ins-and-outs of my and my husband's insurance. She helped everything go as smoothly as possible. The hygienist was also very attentive, patiently explaining everything she was doing and giving me some really useful tips. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. You also get free teeth whitening with every exam and cleaning!
