Services
Coon Restoration & Sealants, Inc. has been providing building owners and managers with uncompromising, quality masonry restoration and joint sealant services since Steve Coon began the company in 1983. From a small family run facility to present, Coon Restoration has grown into one of the premier masonry repair and historic renovation companies in the Country.
Unfortunately, many community leaders and developers fail to pursue historic restoration projects; as they find the prospect of navigating through the complex process of applying for tax credits and grants rather intimidating. The truth is, without proper support from historic tax credits, most historic restoration projects just aren't feasible.
Historic restoration is a unique niche in the masonry and construction trades. It involves addressing the exterior envelope of the building, not just the bricks and mortar. Matching the existing materials and appearance of buildings that may be over a century old presents many challenges. We are experts at analyzing these historic structures and identifying the appropriate materials, means and methods to breathe new life into each project.
Concrete is a widely used and versatile building material. Whether it's used to form walls of buildings or floors of structures such as parking decks, concrete requires maintenance to ensure its safety, life and utility. Concrete and the steel rebar used to reinforce it, expand and contract at different rates as the temperature changes.
While we often talk about our roots in historic restoration, we also have decades of experience in new construction. You will not find more skilled joint sealant installers in the country. Our experience in masonry restoration cleaning makes the wash-down of new masonry a breeze. We also understand the long-term benefits on installing a good fluid-applied water-repellant.
