What a fantastic place!! The owners, who also operate it are super nice and was able to help when my trip had a hiccup.
Super clean room, I wanted to take the mattress home lol. Designated parking in front of most rooms. Quiet, great location and most of all I felt safe even leaving my vehicle unattended one day for a Yellowstone tour.

This place is a gem - well placed, well priced, and unexpectedly comforting.
We had been across the country and back, travelling for a month, when we arrived here. We were tired, sick of hotels, wanting home and over it. We had decided to spend our last weekend at Yellowstone, and this place looked like it was close to the east entrance (it is!). For the price, and the 'small family ownership', we were not expecting much... boy, did we underestimate this place!
We were greeted with a friendly welcoming chat about what we would find locally, where we could walk to, or drive if we really wanted

If you're looking for a quaint hotel with friendly owners on site - this is it! Room was clean, we walked into town for dinner. Not far from the rodeo. The owner was incredibly friendly upon check in , provided ample information about local things happening and was accurate with all of her Yellowstone information! Would definitely stay here again!

It was wonderful I love small motels, it was so clean from the parking lot to the rooms, the room had everything you needed microwave, refrigerator, nice tv, so close to everything, some points of interest you need to drive to but no problem.
The owners and staff was wonderful, housekeeping was wonderful they wanted to make sure we didn’t need anything, so nice!!!
I would stay here again in a heartbeat 😊

Older hotel but very clean. Sheets and towels clean, little refrigerator and Keurig in room were nice. The wall air conditioner in the room had a plastic cover that looked melted but worked fine. Owner was nice to arrange late check in for us as we arrived after lobby hours. We were relieved to get a clean bed and nice rest for less than $300 during busy travel time.

My husband and I were enjoying ourselves at Yellowstone National Park when we found out the RV we rented had some major mechanic problems. We were subsequently towed 80 miles out of the park and ended up in this small town called Cody. We quickly went online and booked a room at the Western Rose. Upon arrival, we were both stressed and pretty miserable, but we were greeted by a friendly, welcoming face.
This motel is family owned by a wife and husband team. Both of them helped us get settled in and were very pleasant and positive. They were incredibly accommodating when we had to stay an extra

A very clean, no frills, basic motel with clean linen and a caring owner. I appreciated the phone call shortly upon arrival to see if everything in the room was okay. This level of customer service goes a long way. Other than that, nothing special. The TV channel receptions were not very good. Toothpaste among basic toiletries was provided. there's a keurig.
As my stay was only 1 night, I felt this place was adequate.

Very nice motel in a great location (near downtown). Staff are very friendly and provide great information on places to meet, visit, and best routes of travel (we were headed over Beartooth pass and were concerned about road conditions).
If you're looking for a great place to stay for your money, this is the place to go.
Bed was comfortable, A/C worked like a champ, shower water was plentiful and water was hot. I really liked that the door to the room was right next to where I parked!

August 2016:
Cody, Wyoming. The hight of the season. Stay two nights to visit Yellowstone. Was the closest place that had vacancies.
This is an expensive room. Yet, if you had not made hotel, motel, camping, RV or Inn arrangements, this is what you get.
At two hundred bucks and no microwave in the room. I guess, you could not do better. Overall, nice place to stay.
This room was the most expensive room I have ever pay for; it's not a bad room, I guess.
The hotel is located a few hundred feet from the Main Street.
The staff was friendly. Quiet, comfortable and clean was the room.

Outdated motel, no hot water to shower and the fire alarm was going off at 6am for no reason. Owners are nice, affordable price but would not recommend.
Update* owners are not nice. Told me to stay home if I did not like their motel; rude and defensive if you ask me. Especially for someone in the hospitality industry

We stayed here after a long day at Yellowstone National Park and the Cody Nite Rodeo. The room was around $80 (with tax) for 2 and only had one queen sized bed with cable TV and AC. We made reservations months in advance and that was the best rate we could get in the area at the time. I brought my own sleeping bag.
The room was clean and we could park our vehicle right at the door to load and unload quickly. They offered a very basic continental breakfast (coffee, juice, toasted English muffins, and boxed donuts) in a dedicated room across the parking from our room. Not great, but not a bad
