Scratchtown Brewing is SWT Energy's second brewery project and makes use of 24.09 kW of solar capacity and predictive, solar forecasting to make their beer made from locally sourced grain and hops some of the greenest in the nation. Combine all that with some of the purest, freshwater on the planet and you've some pretty special beer.
The Powell family approached SWT in 2019 with a simple request, provide backup power to critical loads with solar and battery systems. SWT met the challenge of providing backup power to such a large home with just two Powerwalls feeding one of the home's two 200 amp breaker panels. Once critical loads were identified, our electrician was able to isolate them to one breaker panel.

SWT Energy installed solar panels on our roof in April 2018. Beginning after the heavy snow in February 2021, leaks began to appear on many parts of our ceiling on that side of the house. SWT owners Randy Schantell and Eric Moyer came repeatedly with caulking guns and attempted to seal the leaks, but more spots continued to appear with each rain. We contacted two highly rated roofing companies and they, plus the house inspector Randy hired and the roofing and solar installation company we've contacted to do the necessary repairs all agree that the SWT installation had several problems that led
