Shopping is still reduced to a max of 6 shoppers in the shop at a time. See more information below about busy and class times. Follow us on Facebook for incidental closures, late openings and early closing times on special dates. The door will otherwise be locked to limit the loitering and unnecessary contact from people with business next door, so that we may serve as many of our knit/crochet/spin/weave customers as possible.
This is a membership club to carry on the work, companionship and memory of our beloved Judy Wise. Judy's Friday morning class had met for over a decade and a half. It has lasted through 4 Sheep's Clothing owners and 3 locations. Judy lovingly dubbed her Friday morning class as the "Naughty Knitters" and named "Bad Jeanne" as the leader.

I couldn’t give zero stars or I would have done so. The sign says “open”, the door was locked and my daughter knocked on the door. A woman came out to answer and was exceptionally rude. She answered the door saying “What do you want?” I asked if they were open. She said “I am teaching a class and the shop is closed while I am teaching”. I said, it doesn’t say that on your website, it says you are open u til 6pm.
She cut me off with a snip answer of “it says that under the hours in the website”. I promptly decided that I don’t need to spend any money in a store with this kind

I went there with my SO a while ago, this place came up in a conversation about how bad it was. They didn't have change in the till but that is fine you know. Owners daughter was on the register and went to go get owner/mom for money.
The owner comes back with her kid basically chewing her out saying that money was already in till (it wasn't). I got my change from the owners pocket. She didn't even say sorry to her kid for treating her like that.
It was so awkward and painful to be there.
I wouldn't want to work here... Also I no longer shop here obviously.

Ordered online; paid for the yarn; waited three days...nothing. Sent an email asking for an update...nothing. Finally called; the person who answered was perhaps the owner, who flippantly told me the order was “processing.” I asked if she’d like my order number, telling her I’d ordered it “on Monday.” After another inquiry asking if she’d like the order number she said something about it only being Thursday.. then said she’d refund my money. Can’t decide if it’s COVID short tempered-ness, or if she’s just normally short with her customers. Anyhow, not the best business practice

I scheduled an appointment for on store shopping and drove 2 hours to get here only to come see the store closed and dark inside. No one was here for my appointment. I called the store phone number which is what they have a sign in the door saying and no one is answering! Cant even leave a voicemail because their mailbox is full.
Update: Luckily I was in town still when I decided to try to call the store again and she finally picked up saying she had to leave town on an emergency and just didnt have my info with her to call and let me know she wont be there. So I was able to come at that time

Went into Sheep's Clothing today. Our local yarn shop. Decided that I will never set foot in there again and they will never see another dime of my money.
On one visit, I was put in the awkward position of listening to the mother (owner) chewing out her teenage daughter (who also works there). It was painful to watch and listen to. Unfortunately, where I was when they started,I had no escape route and had to listen to the whole thing go down. I let it go.
On another visit I was witness to the owner visiting with a group of ladies and she was telling them how the customer she had just talked to

I arrived at what i knew to be their last location. Since i am not an avid knitter, i hadnt been shopping in awhile. But, when i want good to excellent yarn and help, i would shop here. Probably won't be again, as when i called for their new location the peraon was unfriendly. "We haven't been there for five years." Well pardon me...the rest of our short conversation continued in abrupt, rude tones on her part.
I know it can be a stressful time...but on Shop Small Biz Sat and local...well unfriendly and barely civil won't encourage your potential customer..

I have been to this shop several times and I’ll admit that there is a good selection of options for those who crochet or knit or whatever. Beforehand the shop attendants were slightly rude teens or an unhappy young adult (of whom the young adult was more helpful). I’m a costume-maker, not really a yarn person. However I have been disenfranchised by this shop by a negative experience not only by myself, but of a dear friend and my own sister. I happened to go in one day to find out if there was yarn for a costume piece I’m in the process of researching. Said friend was also there doing some
