Called them in June 2021 to inspect a house I own and rent out after complaints of sounds in the attic. I set up an appointment for the tenant to give them access to the house for an inspection on June 9. The guy called en route as he was having trouble find the house. I gave him directions. I never heard from him again. Finally, I called another company and they went out and eradicated a mouse in the attic. In January 2022, Preferred Pest called me to say I never paid them the $50 inspection fee. Needless to say, I was very unimpressed with this company which has otherwise pretty good reviews

Preferred as been doing our pest control for several years now and we're really happy with them. They always text and call the day before to remind me and the tech texts on his way so I will remember to open the gates. They're very thorough and we rarely encounter any "pests". I would certainly recommend them.

We had a modest bee infestation inside the second-story trim of a home in Seal Beach. We received ~ four quotes on the job and went with Preferred based on experience and reasonable price (not the cheapest).
Lucy and Albert at Preferred were responsive, professional, on-time and effective, and they returned a few weeks later when a few bees were again seen in the area. (The bees were gone when Preferred came back, and have never returned). I recommend them for reliable, high-quality pest control.

I have been a customer of this business for many years. But today, things changed. I needed an urgent inspection of my attic. Lucy repeatedly told me no. I asked for the owner - who is a great guy - to be contacted , they did and he said yes, go do it. This started at 8:15 this morning. Next, I called and Kim answered. They were doing the inspection at 9:00am. Great! It is now 12:30 and after numerous calls to Kim, who by the way made a joke of this situation by saying she couldn't follow the inspector around all day, and the foreman started work at 5:15 am and he has obviously had continuous

We had three quotes and their pricing was the most competitive. Lussy answered all my questions on the phone and was informative. They were booked up for about a week. However, I pressed and Lussy labored to accommodate us a little earlier. Alberto, the technician came out for the treatment. He was very helpful and courteous. I am surprised that they treat hard floors and the garage (at our request). I definitely felt that they put their customers' first.

We bought a home in San Clemente last November (2020) and I hired Preferred that day based on a review on Next Door. We had an invasion of silverfish (crawling up the walls) and some roaches. This is new home but it was not maintained well so it was pretty bad. Over the last 6-7 months, I am happy to report that Preferred has eliminated our problem (which I wasn't expecting a 100% elimination either:)). They come once a month inside and out and they are so respectful. The women in the office are so delightful and actually had to consult me a couple of times because I was kind of freaking out

I purchased my first home and had no idea of all the issues a house can have and after I started the escrow roller coaster things started to get very scary. Nobody tells you all the things that can go wrong once you're in escrow. However I have to say that the best experience I have from the purchase of my first home is working with Ron his an awesome person and very professional. He took the time to come to my house and walk me through every step of the inspection. He even gave me tips on how to do some small repairs on my own to save money. These guys are so professional - their customer service is great - anytime I need them to come and do a respray and my mothers home they show up on the date and time they promise and get the job done right. My mother is older and is deathly afraid of spiders so they are aware of this and never hesitate to come help her out. Highly recommend them

Kevin is the friendliest and most professional exterminator we've ever had! Scheduling was a breeze & Kevin texted us to let us know when he was on his way. He was so outgoing and personable. Explained to us the types of products used, tips for preventing any unwanted guests, and how frequently we should spray. I'm sure there are plenty of exterminators that can quickly spray, but Kevin was absolutely excellent and had the best customer service. Haven't seen a single critter since! PREFERRED PEST CONTROL IS AWESOME!

We had a termite treatment for both subterranean and dry wood termites. Anthony was really nice and patient. He treated the whole house, check the attics. And he also showed me every part he treated and gave really helpful suggestions.
And also when we had the inspection, they didn't push us to sign or do anything. They just gave us their suggestions and gave us time to think and decide what we wanted to do about it.
