The well-known Dr. Thomas Scherer earned a reputation of honest, quality veterinary care and quickly became the neighborhood's vet of choice. After a successful career, Dr. Scherer passed the torch to his colleague and friend, Dr. Robert Beshai in 2014.

We monitor our patients closely to keep them as safe as possible during procedures that require general anesthesia. A veterinary technician will continually assess your pet's heart and respiratory rate, . For some procedures, your pet will need to be administered general anesthesia so that he or she will be unconscious and not feel pain.
We can perform vaginal cytology on female dogs to help determine the optimum time to breed and enhance the success of pregnancy. To do so, we take a swab of. Most animals give birth without any complications. However, mothers occasionally need help with delivery. We usually attempt to resolve the problem using medical therapy first, but when that doesn't solve.

We are new here but so far this place is great! The Doctor and her staff that I have been in contact with so far are very nice and helpful and answered my questions. They gladly gave me a detailed quote for my cats surgery and pointed out the things that were not medically necessary but nice to have ( like certain blood work and pain medications). I'm looking forward to doing more business with them. 🐱

I took my cat there 04/05 for a check up and estimate for dental cleaning. They were prompt, professional, courteous, and everything was clearly explained. Because my cat will be having a dental cleaning under anesthesia, she needed bloodwork in advance. They did the bloodwork at this visit. Her doctor, Doctor Renfro, called with the results a few days later, at 8pm! I couldn't believe she was still working that late!! We really like our new doctor and vet practice and look forward to a long relationship.

***Experience during Covid-19 pandemic: my boy pups has a lot of health issues. He needs daily allergy injections and we come here several times a year and even during the pandemic it has been a great experience. Due to the pandemic we are no longer allowed inside but we park and call the office. The nice vet technician will come out and pick up your pup and take them inside. Dr. Pluskat does an examination and give you a call and thoroughly explains issues and addresses all concerns we may have. Dr. Pluskat is the absolute best!!

Great service, friendly knowledgeable staff and vets. Their list of services is complete, everything from Avian to Wellness programs.
Warner Avenue Animal Hospital also works with Exotic animal like snake, herbal, ferrets and even iguanas.
Appointments are recommended and they keep on schedule. We've never waited longer than :15-20 minutes.
