I saw Dr. Benchwick today for weight loss help. He was very hesitant to work with me due to a medication I currently take. He proceeded to tell me about the drug I'm on and the potential syndrome that could result if mixed with his diet drug consequently he did not prescribe the diet drug. I respect a doctor's right to prescribe and I appreciate a dr being honest. However in this case, Dr. Benchwick mischaracterized the drug I'm on and the potential syndrome, he claimed there are reams of scientific evidence to support his decision not to help me. I've tried for many years to get back to my High School weight with several failures. I was starting to believe that there was nothing I could do to lose weight and was ready to give up all together.
