Great place to stay the night. The rooms are clean, and the surrounding area is relatively safe. Danny at the front was a wonderful host. Definitely check out the park by the boat docks (only two blocks away)!

Chronically enraged front office guy and his manic son turned me away at this scuzzy crack den motel after yelling, bullying, and disparaging me, despite the fact I'd prepaid. Outside, the place was crawling with the unhomed and those under the influence, while a person slithered under a blanket on the sidewalk, and a trio of drunk customers from the dive bar next door struggled to remain standing. This sad enterprise would make the world a better place by imploding. The hateful father/son team and Travelocity refused to refund me, so I opened a dispute at my bank, citing breach of contract

Don't judge a book by its cover! This place is immaculately cleaned and cared for. My room was spotless, and the manager was very helpful and kind

Mildew air. Dated interiors. Shady location. I'm sure they washed the sheets and things were "clean" but everything felt gross and I did not want my toddler touching those carpets. (admittedly we arrived at night and did not end up staying after having paid and checked out the room. No refund. a terrible experience). Most photos on this app are not accurate and likely were put up by management. We felt totally scammed. I would never recommend this place.

Worst motel ever. Looks like a flophouse with fluorescent lighting and high gloss paint covering old walls. The only window faced an interior hallway. Stairs extremely steep and dangerous. Service non-existent. And $120 for a considerably worse experience than your average Motel 6.

It is not so clean outside but smelling of bleach inside. Mattress is a bit saggy. Wi-Fi is good. However there is no ventilation in our room save a window into the central atrium on the 2nd floor. Open window = way too much noise from the highway. No vent. There is a floor-standing fan to circulate air. Cross this one off my list.

This was a disappointing stop on our recent vacation. Although I wanted a hotel with character -- the room here left much to be desired. The photos on-line would lead you to think the rooms have space to walk around, but that is only true if you have almost no luggage. The room lighting was dim, the mattress uncomfortable, the shower measured about 3' square and the bath towels were sized more for a child than an adult. For $120 a night some of this would have been tolerable if the room had any 50s-era charm or provided some breakfast, but it did not. Best thing about this hotel is its walking

Recently stayed, nice, clean, etc. But the manager and I don't know his name was fantastic. I just mentioned I wanted a receipt at checkout but forgot to pick it up. As I drive out who is on the street with receipt in hand, the manager! I also left my favorite pillow there ( I know but it's a really good one). One call to manager and he found it and shipped it to my house in perfect shape. That type of person can really make your stay and whole trip better. Thanks again. JS. Reno nv

For $89, it's more basement than bargain. Reviewers must be upgrading to 4 stars because it's so affordable. Pretty rough. Rooms are okay, but pics make them seem considerably nicer. Noise isn't too bad, though. Over all, I got about what I expected for under $90, but less than reviews suggested.

Great motel! Decently priced, clean, and it felt very safe. I really appreciated the nice, new windows too! It kept ALL noise from the road and other rooms out.

This was an interesting stay, although for the area, possibly one of the top budget choices. The property is old, but you can tell they work hard to keep it clean and maintained. Majority of rooms are on the second floor, so parking is on the first floor. They also have cameras everywhere, and the man at the desk seems to keep a VERY close eye on things.

They allow dogs, but I wouldn't say they are pet friendly. They have a long list of rules, and a fee posted for anyone who breaks said rules. They were kind enough to give us some leeway with our senior dog who was having troubles navigating

I didn't stay there. But that was only because of their customer service on their phone. Called and they were rude. They changed the rates and after credit card was provided they tell me of additional pet fees. Fees are not shown on any website. Asked questions and person on the phone seemed bothered over having to take the call. I told him to cancel and stayed somewhere else

Ahhh, Eureka motels. What can I say? When traveling alone, I actually like this one better than most. Here's why:

It's in the heart of Eureka, and while there is riff-raff around, the tenant population always seems miraculously free of it.

My room was about $80/night at present (Jun '17). It's about $15 (give or take) more than Motel 6 down the road, but I will thankfully pay a few extra bucks to avoid the sketchy doings and gazes of drug-addled neighbors eyeing my belongings or my car. It's a nice safe middle ground between the bottom-barrel (i.e. Lamplighter: "

Groovy, historic. The double queen suite was impressive. Soap, shampoo, coffee, fridge, microwave, hair dryer provided. Would revisit.

Negative: i was spoken to in demeaning manners. Was repeatedly and falsely accused of smoking in the non-smoking room.

Room dated, clean, basically ok. I had a large room I suppose they were out of singles. Only 2 stars because it is too highly rated at anything over 3, because of noise of guests, street, & the design of the building. The garage is below the rooms and indoor balcony, perhaps it was built like this to shelter guests as they unloaded/loaded car in the rain?
The central location would be a plus for those with business in town.
The bar next door has a good ribeye dinner for $30.

Stayed here 5 days on business trip. The staff and service were exceptional. Management constantly walking area...interacting with hotel service staff, very engaged and care about their hotel.
The room was affordable (my number 1 criteria) and clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice sized fridge for travelling working guy like me.
Liked the location. Able to walk to restaurants, stores, etc. after work.
Chuckled at some other reviews that were "aghast" at proximity to jail...the local jail down the street seemed to be a big issue! :- D.
Silly people dont get that jail =cops routine

Eureka is a strange town, filled with transients on their way to somewhere else as the coast highway runs right thru the middle of it. Eureka feels like the ugly step sister of Arcata (just up the 101) a few miles away. Eureka is chock-a-block with motels, a few of the dangerously cheap variety, and more of the generic $100/night sort of spots. I was looking for something reasonable for a one night stay, but unless willing to stay at seedy, cockroach motels, there is no real inexpensive choice in this town.
I settled on Town House Motel in part due to the Yelp reviews. It's also near the

This motel is one of those hidden gems that you only find every now and then. It's not fancy at all. It is older 70's probably but it is clean and quiet and inexpensive. My daughter and I stayed in one of their two bedroom family units. It's not really a suite, rather it is a regular motel room with another smaller room attached with a bathroom and sink/wash nook in between. The main bedroom houses a bed, the TV, table and chairs, chest of drawers and the TV. It was perfect for us because I stay up late and she hits the sack early so she could just shut her door and I could watch

We loved that this place allowed us to have two rooms in our reservation without actually paying for two rooms. We also liked how unique the architecture was (the upstairs hallway).

What we didn't like is that there were so many things missing that most hotels have., including a mirror and trash can in the bathroom. And the design of the rooms were a bit too odd too.

But on the bright side, it was super clean! And it had all the essentials, including a great working refrigerator, television, and coffee maker. So I would stay at it again if I needed to, but more likely I'll find a
