At Beltway Paving of Southern Maryland, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by implementing the latest advances in green technology in the industry; such as our infrared road repair service. By re-heating the asphalt surface with infrared rays, it is returned to a workable consistency to be repaired rather than having to be removed and replaced.
Asphalt milling is the process of grinding up asphalt which is currently serving as a roadway or parking area. After years of repeated resurfacing, the asphalt pavement surface can become too high as a result, diminishing the quality of surface drainage. Asphalt milling serves to mill/grind and remove the top most layers of asphalt that were previously installed, and then recycle any material that can still be used.
Our Infrared Road Repair Truck Rental Program is a convenient option for contractors and municipalities looking to make critical repairs to asphalt pavement where more extensive resurfacing or replacement may not be needed. Beltway Paving recommends Infrared Road Repair (IRR) for issues like potholes, pavement heaving, and uneven or rough driving surfaces.
BPSM has been contracted to perform asphalt milling and overlay at the Broad Creek Waste Water Pumping Station (WWPS) on Livingston Road in Fort Washington, Maryland by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC). The pumping station is designed to eliminate/reduce the occurrence of sanitary sewer overflows at the Broad Creek WWPS during wet weather events in the area and has recently been undergoing necessary system upgrades.
