I have shopped at the store on Osprey for many years and also have consigned endless bags full of clothes. I read the reviews and have to say that for me every time I have entered the store I have been greeted with a cheerful hello. There is always a friendly person who recognizes me and welcomes me back. I am a happy and appreciated costumer and feel that the inventory is exceptional. Sometimes I just go to drop off items for consignment and pick up my check for items sold, and while passing the time I find new items I have

Great place to shop! I always find something cute. As a larger lady (5'11'' and a size 14-16, with a shoe size of 10.5-11) sometimes second-hand shopping is hard, but not here! They have a wide selection of cute things in my size. The staff is always super nice. The sales are fairly decent. Would highly recommend

Extremely unhappy with Fifi's in Sarasota. I dropped off clothing for consignment and spent a long time in their store and purchased several items. One, a silk tank top, was rather expensive for what it was, and when I arrived home I realized that it was supposed to be part of a set (the tags from the other item were still attached to it) and the other piece was missing. I called right away and was told Fifi would call me back but because I didn't identify that the tank top was only part of a set, until I got home, I was out of luck. When I shopped and purchased, of course everyone was kind and helpful. They invited me to consign. Very disappointing and humiliating. As owner was not present, helper was kind and accepted about 30 pieces of good costume jewelry that she examined thoroughly. She was encouraging, and selected the pieces she was confident would sell, and told me to check back in a week or so, when items were out on display. Month after month trying to contact them, for about 4 months, one excuse after another. Finally owner begrudgingly gave me about $1 per item, claiming items were lost or thrown away, cruelly

I've had good experiences here in the past, but the few times I've been in the last year no one has said a word to me the whole time. I'm also very disappointed to walk around the store and see designer knockoffs. This does not seem appropriate for a "high end" consignment store. You will be much better served at Beautiful You Boutique right around the corner.

I have shopped at FIFI’S on Osprey Avenue in Sarasota several times. Each time I’ve been very disappointed with the customer service. I always try to give places the benefit of the doubt. I know everyone has a bad day. I am a preschool teacher, and I realize that adults require just as much patience, if not more than 4 year olds on occassion.
From a phone call to see if they are open, not friendly, to stepping into the store, not friendly. There’s no mention of their daily discounts...nothing.

Prices are a bit steep on everyday items like lamps and pictures. Furniture is reasonable, but accessories and tables are not.
I like going in weekly because they switch the store around a bit every day. A bit cluttery, I feel for as much as the guy " helper" in the store is constantly moving around and always seems to be in my way, the cluttered appearance could be improved. Just my opinion

Just my view but why they call it a review. All these online shops but never getting the right fit or what is advertised. Fifi's is fantastic (Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch location), great selection and awesome customer service. Sales sales sales, after 30 days most items are 20 to 50% off. Best of all, you can put the handbag on your shoulder, try on the pants, walk around in the shoes and know what you're getting. Had horrible experiences at other consignment shops with overpriced items and lousy service, only interested in what they make on a sale. I have not shopped at the S Osprey location and

I'm disgusted with this place. It's a fraud they give your items "away" claiming they called you first and that's just not true. I lost a lot of money as I brought them very good quality items for consignment but only got one check for a small amount. After that it was total baloney and many items were brand new that I didn't get back or paid for.

I was a consigner at Fifi's in Venice until today. I've never had a problem here until today. The sales lady was very rude from the beginning. As a result things didn't go well and didn't end well either. As a professional she actually had the nerve to tell me I had problems and need help, then proceeded to laugh at me when I got upset. What kind of human being does this? They have no people skills and are so unprofessional and rude. Can't believe someone would say such an insulting comment to another person. I was not perfect in this situation as I got very offended

Really well organized, older styles, but that's to be expected considering the population they pull from, FL. When checking out I brought the items I didn't want to the counter, with 3 women standing around to help, no one offers! All stood there empty handed watching me. I realize its consignment/thrift but you kinda want to make for a pleasant easy memorable shopping experience so customers are loyal and return again and again. Ladies if you're on the clock, try working. Just a thought.

I offered 13 pieces of clothes/shoes in excellent condition and 4 items brand new,
bought on my last trip to Europe. I received a check for 4 items sold for a measly
$20.00 - After 60 days I went back to the store in Lakewood Ranch in order to take
out the balance of my merchandise as I wanted to donate these items for Christmas
only to find that 2 items were not accounted for and neither were they sold. The manager
promised to locate the missing items and call me,but I never received a phone call. I went
back the next week and still no explanation as to the missing pieces.

Okay, I get the comments from the last (but pretty old) posts. Here is the skinny on my experience with these stores. Fifi's are consignment stores franchised throughout the south. The male owner? of these 3 stores is abrasive...talking loud and not so nice to workers when customers are in the store. This was at the furniture store. That made me feel uncomfortable. But I haven't experienced that in the Miami store....maybe I've just had the good fortune of him not being in there. The owner? woman is nice enough though. The clothing stores....there are two, one on Venice Ave. very

My boyfriend and I were strolling down Venice Avenue, just out for a nice day. When we decided to go into Fifi's. As we walked in the Sales Associate (about in her 60's) she proceeded to say "You do know were a high end thrift shop?" I looked at my boyfriend then at the lady again and said uhm yes, we do. Turned off by her rude and condensending comment my boyfriend and I decided to take our business else where. My boyfriend and I are only 21 and 24 years old... I guess she thought we were some kind of hoodlums, yet looking at us were just an average young couple. Suggestion

Fifi's has 3 locations, this one on Venice Avenue and two others on Miami Avenue. I was in all three, although I didn't buy anything, though not for lack of trying. The stars are for the helpfulness of the staff. This is the first one I went into. My wallet is getting old and tattered and I'm looking for a replacement.
