During the hardest times in life finding a place that is compassionate, understanding, will listen, explain things in ways to make you understand the process and take the time to show you it’s ok to laugh are needed greatly. Ken and his staff are absolutely exceptional, professional and are there for you for everything possible. Having had the unfortunate pleasure of being involved in more funerals than anyone should (including a family member that we used Ken for earlier in the year). Mckenzie Mortuary was so great. They took care of our needs and walked us through all of the obstacles that are seen and unseen. They keep you in the know of the whole process.

I researched several mortuaries when I found out my dear Brother might not recover from his heart procedure. I contacted three places and ultimately chose McKenzie because they were local, family owned and operated.
In the beginning they were just a bit more than the cheapest one listed. However, after all of the add on charges were totaled that “cheap” would have cost me more money. Plus McKenzie didn’t charge me to ship my brother’s ashes to me.

My experience with McKenzie Mortuary was straight forward and pleasant. They were nice to work with and didn't use any "hard sell" tactics. All services and fees are clearly spelled out with the price in their brochure. I would recommend using their services.

As a parent, it’s a total and devastating shock to hear that your child has predecease you; it’s not supposed to be that way. I am in Florida and my daughter was in California; the hospital in LA recommended McKenzie Mortuary Services.
Ken, the owner and his staff were compassionate, caring and totally professional in their communication with me; they handled the hospital administrative processes, emailed all requisite firms for cremation and forwarding of her remains and submitted all paperwork in a timely manner to me and subsequently to the state of California.
