A Facelift (Rhytidectomy), from Lin Plastic Surgery in Boston, is a surgical procedure designed to counteract the effects of aging, exposure to the sun or gravity providing a fresh, youthful appearance. This procedure involves tightening of the facial and neck skin as well as removal of excess fat deposits.
Dr. Lin utilizes two methods for his neck lift procedures, depending on the degree of change you want to see in your neck and chin area. These can be added to any facelift procedure, making for a single recovery. Traditional neck lift - A traditional neck lift incision originates below the sideburn area and continues down below the ear, terminating in the hair at the back of the scalp.
Our eyelids have some of the thinnest skin found anywhere on the human body. While this has the benefit of enabling easy, efficient movement, it also contributes to our eyes being the first area on our face to show signs of aging. Of course, it doesn't help that our eyes are continually exposed to the sun and the elements.

I attended a 4 week plastic surgery rotation with Dr.Lin. He is a great professor and has conducted an amazing course. I learned so much from him in the short amount of time I was able to spend with him. He does a fantastic job of encouraging you to get involved and clarifies any doubts you may have through out the course. I highly recommend attending his rotation to anyone who has the opportunity.

I would really recommend this clinical rotation to every student who wants to be in the surgery field, especially the ones interested in plastic and reconstructive surgery. You go from learning the basic plastic surgery principles to very specific topics. I was impressed by the detailed information you are able to learn in every procedure. You have the opportunity to view and discuss with the Doctor very rare and interesting cases and procedures. The feedback and discussion from the Doctor is invaluable.

Dr. Lin and his entire team were very supportive throughout my whole process of getting my breast surgery in 2020.
I still had continued support during my aftercare and during my entire healing process which was not as easy or hard, but new.
Things you should consider is the scarring and nipple loss sensation that can happen. My scars are not that bad and are becoming lighter in coloration as I have used different products to help support that. Only one nipple has partial sensation loss that

I had a breast reduction and lift about 3 months ago, I could not ask for a better doctor than Dr. Lin. They took very good care of me before and after the surgery, I had common complications with my wounds (delayed healing), but the doctor was always very receptive and answered all my questions, if I had to go the same day because I was feeling pain, the office was always opened to check me. My breasts are now symmetric and perky, I barely see the scar. I am very happy with the outcome of the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Lin and his staff for their expertise and professionalism. I had been thinking about getting a neck lift for a few years. I tried all kinds of things to avoid surgery but nothing worked and was expensive. I decided to have a consultation with Dr. Lin after hearing compliments from other doctors about his work and and from patient on-line reviews. When I met with Dr. Lin, I immediately felt comfortable and confident he was the right doctor for me. Excellent course on fundamentals of plastic surgery. Highly recommend for anyone going into plastics or even general surgery (like myself). Well-balanced course between didactics, discussion, and procedure videos. By taking this course, you will learn a great deal to be able to apply in future practice. The best part is the healthy learning environment that Dr.Lin provides has been the highlight of this course for me. I was stunned when I learned I had breast cancer but as I recently told Dr Lin, he was the silver lining in that experience. He performed a breast reduction simultaneously with my lumpectomy and 8 months out, I feel great.
Post op was uncomfortable but definitely manageable and never painful. Recovery has gone smoothly and as expected, and now my shoulders and back no longer ache, clothes fit better, and I feel more in proportion.
Dr Lin's calm and confident manner provided all the reassurance
