The Richardson Family has been serving the families of Leominster and surrounding communities for six generations. The Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home was founded in 1942 by Silas F. Richardson. Silas had followed in the tradition of his family, serving the families of Leominster. His son, Charles "Charlie" P. Richardson joined the family firm in 1954.
He worked alongside his father until Silas' death in 1974. In 1984 Charlie's son-in-law, Ernest L. Rooney, joined the firm and worked with him until Charlie's death in 2005. In October of 2020, the funeral home was sold to longtime employee, and Leominster resident, Kurt F. Eckstein.

Services
At Richardson Funeral Home, Inc., we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
Take Route 2 West and take Exit 33. Go straight off ramp onto Mechanic Street. Go through 4 sets of lights. Mechanic Street ends and West Street begins at the 4th set of lights. Go straight through that set of lights and the funeral home is about 1/2 mile on the left. It is a large white building with a maroon awning off the front.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.

Kurt and Ernie are nothing but true professionals! I mean that sincerely, they both took excellent care of my every concern through the process when we lost our mom last year.
Even now a year later, when we were finally able to have a burial for mom, they were there to help us through it. I have such great gratitude and appreciation for you guys...
Thank you Gentlemen!
