The Antoniazzi family of violin makers, led by Romeo's father Gaetano and older brother Riccardo, was originally from Cremona. The family arrived in Milan in 1870. Their unique, Cremonese-influenced style had a great effect on other makers in Milan, most notably Leandro Bisiach. Bisiach began as a student of the Antoniazzis, but along with his skill as a maker, he had considerable business acumen, something the Antoniazzi family lacked.
This exceptional violin bow by Dominique Peccatte is a rare example of the maker's work. With the Peccatte brand, this superb all-original violin bow is one of the finest in ebony and silver by the maker. With great strength and complexity and consistent in its command of strokes from frog to tip, this exceptional Peccatte offers everything an artist could desire in a bow for all types of playing.
For over twenty years Gabriel Ben-Dashan has been one of Bein & Fushi's greatest resources. He is not only Bein & Fushi's top salesman but is also a professional violinist with an intense interest in and lifelong fascination with the great stringed instrument and bow makers. When Gabriel started with the firm he came with his great ability to match artist and instrument and his extensive violin and bow expertise.
John Gerson joined Bein & Fushi in 2010, and has been a very welcome addition. Working under under the guidance of Gabriel Ben-Dashan, John has become superb strings consultant. Hailing from the western Chicago suburb of Naperville, John is a graduate of Naperville North High School. Hed received his Bachelor of Music and Diploma in Violin Performance from Indiana University where he studied with Henryk Kowalski.
Bein & Fushi offers the finest appraisal services available for fine instruments and bows. Each member of our appraisal team was trained by Robert Bein himself, and has appraised instruments and bows from the world's finest contemporary makers to the rarest antique instruments and bows from around the world.

Gabriel Ben-Dashan handled the sale of my instrument beautifully and kept me informed of progress regularly. Additionally he helped me select a Panormo and two fabulous bows by Voirin and Henry. The Henry is now my favorite bow of my nice collection. I always had an excellent experience with BF over 40 years. In fact, I bought my first fine bow from them in 1979 when they were still in boxes and hadn't yet fully moved in to the Fine Arts Building. They always treated me with utmost respect and consideration. Will always feel grateful for their professionalism and care.

Don’t enjoy the lack of transparency— Bein and Fushi definitely has an 1950’s car salesman vibe. Bought a violin from here years ago and I’ve always felt price gouged. Recently sold that same instrument with them and it was extremely difficult to hold their attention.

I spent HOURS choosing a violin, (under 50k) and then spent another day choosing a bow. Very understanding and pleasant.

My name is Robert Ward. My wife, Victoria Isaacs, brought her bow to a Bowmaker and broker in Denver Colorado, Evan Orman. After many years of holding on to this bow, it became clear to Victoria that the bow needed to “sing again.” Mr. Orman sent the bow to Bein & Fushi and you sold it. I have written to you through your website and left… several voicemails but with no reply.
The reason for my attempt to connect with you is our hope to connect with the new steward of this bow is because of the story that comes along with this exceptional instrument. If you would please contact

I discovered this store at the recommendation of one the employees that played in my orchestra. The history drips from the walls: there are signed photographs from nearly everyone important in string history that have come through here for the last century. They have a gorgeous practice room that overlooks Grant park in the old creaky but lovable Fine Arts building. I got my bow rehaired and hope to come back to explore their range of suggestions for tune-ups and strings!

Gabriel & John were consummate professionals and great to work with. Their expertise is crystal clear and the focus on instruments, rather than making a quick sale made a huge difference. With people like this, it’s clear how Bein & Fushi has developed its name.

FIVE STARS! I must admit that I was a little hesitant to go to Bein & Fushi, as most people in the violin world know that this is like a Ferrari dealership of violin shops. Since I'm more in the market for something like the violin equivalent of a Toyota Prius, I was apprehensive to visit, but I am happy to say that I couldn't have been more wrong.
This was the first and only violin shop I've been to where I was offered not only something to drink, but a choice of water, coffee, and various teas! Very hospitable. The front counter guy, Jesse, was very sweet and welcoming, and blew me away with

They do not provide good customer service. If you are going to buy a really expensive item, such as a violin, I think this is not a good place to buy it.

One of my friend was interested in one violin at this store. Thus, she paid some percent of the price of this violin and tried it for some time. After the trial period, she found that the violin had some flaws, and it was not a good match to her play style. She gave the violin back to the store and tried to get refund. They said they were not able to give refund to her without permission from the owner of this store. Even though the owner of
