John was born and raised in Mexia and started working at the funeral home at a young age. After high school John attended San Antonio College where he received his training in Mortuary Science. In 1981 he was granted a license from the State of Texas to practice funeral directing and embalming. John is active not only at the funeral home, but various local groups and organizations.
