To adequately evaluate the structure of your skin lesions, a dermascope is used. This microscopy tool employs polarized light to aid Dr. Kravitz in distinguishing normal benign growths from suspicious lesions, which may require removal. This technology can reduce the rate of unnecessary biopsies and aid in the detection of skin cancers.
There are numerous types of skin cancer, which is why most adults should have a complete skin exam. We recommend that you arrive for your visit without make-up, hair spray, or nail polish obscuring our ability to fully examine your hair, scalp, skin, and nails.
The most common non-melanoma skin cancers are Basal Cell Carcinoma & Squamous Cell Carcinoma, which typically arise in tissue that has been damaged by the sun, viruses, burns, or other trauma.Pre-cancerous lesions called Actinic Keratoses often demonstrate the beginning of a non-melanoma skin cancer.

There exist a wide variety of organisms that have the ability to invade the skin, particularly when a person has an opening in the outermost layer due to trauma, eczema, dryness and cracking or an insect bite. Below are some examples of a few commonly encountered forms of infection that we diagnose and treat at our office.

Dr. Kravitz is wonderful; very thorough and professional with a sharp mind and great sense of humor. I’ve enjoyed seeing her for my annual visits. On my recent visit, I was seen by a new nurse practitioner who was thorough and had an equally bright personality. I’ve always had positive interactions with staff.

Not even worth a 1 Star!!! Receptionist has no professional demeanor whatsoever and very abrupt and curt. By the second call told her that her tone was uncalled for and says I am going to speak with the doctor to see if they want to cancel the appointment which they NEVER called me to get my side of the story. Up until now I have had no issues of being a patient of Dr. Kravitz but since she likes to side with her rude receptionist and not even offer one bit of an apology to her clients is totally unprofessional on her part. Essentially this is her business and can run it the way she wants but working

I have been a patient of Dr. Kravitz since she opened her office and I am so grateful to have found her. She is extremely knowledgable, professional and more thorough than any dermatologist I had seen previously. She always takes her time to listen and explain things. Her staff is well-trained, professional and caring. The office is always very clean and during COVID the adherence to safety has been exemplary. We are fortunate to have her on Cape Cod!

After reading some of these reviews, I feel it’s important to note that I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kravitz’s since she first opened her practice and have not once found her office staff to be unpleasant. They’ve been nothing but professional, accommodating, and friendly. Dr. Kravitz is very thorough and knowledgeable, always taking the time to listen to any concerns and do comprehensive skin checks.

Was so lucky to have found this dermatologist while staying the last six months on the cape. Normally I go to dermatologist in NYC but not anymore. The level of detail and care I received from Dr. Kravitz and her staff was great. They gave me the time to ask questions and understand what I could do to protect and improve my skin. That extra time is so often missing in healthcare visits today!

I hate giving one star especially since I've never even met Dr. Kravitz but her staff really didn't leave me much of a choice. I phoned to speak with someone about becoming a new patient of Dr. Kravitz but now I'm looking for a whole new doctor. It's a shame really since Dr. Kravitz was highly recommended by someone I really trust and unfortunately, the rudeness of the people operating her business make you feel like she is the last person you want treating you. The woman I spoke to after almost 2 weeks of phone calls told me to remind her what she was speaking to Dr. Kravitz about and then asked

I've been treated by Dr. Kravitz on several occasions during the past year for ongoing skin treatments of various sorts. I find her extremely easy to communicate with and a really pleasant person. I think she is very knowledgeable in her field and deeply interested as well. Her assistants in the treatment room have been well chosen - capable and encouraging. This review may sound impossibly glowing but I really am so happy and impressed with Dr. Kravitz and her office on all levels.
