Interventional Psychiatry
Interventional Psychiatry involves a multitude of treatment options utilized by a physician educated and experienced with treating patients that have not improved with everyday treatment. Would you like more time with your doctor? What about an initial evaluation that is based on the latest scientific data?

And medication treatment that is Evidence Based and prescribed using International Guidelines? Would having your doctor's email and cellphone numbers for more direct access, and his availability 365 days a year be of value? Is having a physician that received training in a top U.S. Medical School and Residency Program be important?
Services
Instead of a 45 minute Evaluation, UMM Evaluations are 90 minutes, with plenty of time for discussion, explanation and questions. Likewise, in place of the 10 minute "Med-Check", your follow up visits will be 30 minutes and involve the use of Psychometrics, an objective measure used to monitor progress.
In our capable hands, with ECT, we are able to help 9 out of 10 patients that undergo this therapy for depression, that have not improved with medications or other therapies. ECT is approved by the U.S. FDA (Food & Drug Administration), and the U.S. NIMH (National Institutes of Mental Health), and is practiced worldwide.
This test can be helpful in selected cases. It is NOT diagnostic. It is useful only if the correct diagnosis has been made by an accurate Psychiatric Evaluation. The cost when using your Health Insurance or Medicare Advantage Plan, is a maximum out of pocket cost of $325 to Genomind for the test (No cost if you have Medicare A & B, or an AHCCCS plan).
Intravenous, or IV Ketamine is the hottest topic in the field of Psychiatry for use in "Treatment Resistant Depression". That is, depression that does not improve after multiple trials of antidepressants and/or psychotherapy have failed to provide relief. Ketamine has been approved by the U.S. FDA as an anesthetic since 1970.

He misdiagnosed me and sent me into a downward spiral. I found out later that many other patients got the same misdiagnosis and lost years of their life.
After being a zombie on the meds he prescribed I saw three different psychiatrists and they all laughed at his diagnosis and said there is no way he is correct. I took the advice of another psychiatrist and she got me off the wacky meds he put me on and on some other ones and I have never felt better.
Brian is the worst thing that ever happened to me. If you want the facts before seeing him please let me know and I am happy to set up a call

After seeing Dr. Espinoza, he recommended a genetic testing that was quite expensive and did not tell him or me much about necessary medication suggestions. He decided to diagnose me with “Bipolar 3” and prescribed a cocktail of medication including carbamazepine, Olanzapine, and others. Within 3 months, I had gained 30 pounds. When I expressed to him my displeasure, and told him I was still having depressive symptoms, he would add more medication to the cocktail already prescribed. When I asked him to wean me from the medication, he did so very rapidly which caused a severe panic attack. When

I do not think this Dr Espinoza has the patients mental and physical well being on his list of top priorities...in the beginning he seemed helpful ects helped quite a bit.....but being mentally Ill and having a small child at home where I had to make arrangements for a place and caregiver for her to go to while I was getting my treatments while my husband was working became difficult...the nurses had always told me as long as I gave adequate cancelation notice everything would be fine....before I know it he refused treatment to me.he even talked me into doing costly genetic testing which helped

After 2 1/2 yrs of severe depression, I met with Dr. Espinoza to inquire about ECT, as nothing was working to relieve my symptoms. I was informed ECT, along with the right medication, is 95% effective. He was very thorough, patient, and kind during his assessment. After the prescribed number of sessions, I emerged a new person, happy and confident! To me Dr. Espinoza and his excellent staff worked a miracle I never thought possible!

My adult son has mental illness that put him in and out of mental institutions for over a year. Dr. Espinoza has helped him more than all other physicians combined. There was never any rhyme or reason to what medications other doctors tried. This was particularly true at hospital emergency rooms, where they give you one pill to calm you down and send you on your way. Dr. Espinoza approaches medication with a strategy: we'll try this pill for this reason. If it works we'll raise the dose within safe limits; if it doesn't, we'll try this different approach. He's very knowledgeable about off-label

My physical and mental health were last on his list of priorities. He runs nothing more than an in-n-out closed labotomy factory. High attendance and full submission are expected of his patients.
