Wedding hair is one of our specialties at Shear Artistry Hair & Body Centre. We recommend scheduling 3 months in advance for all bridal styling. Our team will try to accommodate any late requests, but could result in limited availabilities.

Made two separate appointments at the salon and both never got put in the system and I ended up showing up for two appointments that no one could tell me what happen or offer up a solutions other than a hair cut which I didn't need and since it happened twice within a week and I am in need of a color and can't wait another month because they messed up twice. So now I'm having to go and find somewhere that can get me in before the end of the month to help with my color because they couldn't fix the issues on their end. Summer was my cosmetologist at Shear Artistry. One night I had the sudden urge to turn my beloved long hair style into a short, edgy and fresh new look. Around 5:30pm I stumbled into the salon and was put into the very capable hands of Summer. We went over what I was hoping to achieve and the best way to tackle the job. Loved this place! I had my hair done by Holly, a beautiful young lady with mounds of talent. We did the first of many stages of balayage for my upcoming wedding day next fall! She was very sweet and my hair turned out amazing! She helped me find the right shampoo and conditioner for my hair, brought my lifeless locks back from death, and even gave my little sister a nice nail color while my hair was being treated. Love love love this place and can't wait to come back in January! Highly recommend!

I am a hairstylist working at this salon. The salon is very clean and the atmosphere is very cozy and friendly. Some of the stations are divided by partitions which provides privacy. As soon as you step in, you'd be welcomed by our receptionist Angi's smile and you'd be offered a beverage.

I gave this place a 3 star because it wasn't good but it wasn't bad. I'm new to the area and my 2 girls needed a haircut. They had Emily. She was not warm at all. Especially from the moment we met her. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day. But it reflected her mood and her work on my girls. Never again! I feel so bad for my girls that I told them to not worry and their hair will grow back. I'm in need of a haircut and I won't be coming here. I'll be looking for another place.

Went to Chika for haircut and style my hair for the first time today. I absolutely love her! The main thing was she listened and did exactly how I wanted my hair to look. This salon is top notch! I went there today for the first time and I had Christy Rawls as my stylist. I love her! She listens and gives you feed back , which is very important to me. Her talent as a stylist is exceptional! The ambiance of the salon is very relaxing yet very professional. I would recommend this salon to everyone. Not to mention, very affordable.

Shear Artistry and Phyllis earn 5++ stars in my book. I tried another salon when I moved to the area and they greatly overcharged me (they acknowledged it and offered to throw in a $15 eyebrow wax at my next appt), called me the day of my Mom's funeral and yelled at me for missing an appt which I had called and rescheduled due to the unexpected loss, backstabbed other stylists to me, told me they really didn't have time to do my hair even though we had an appointment made well in advance. I came as a walk-in, needed to change my color from mostly light brown back to my natural color black, and also get a trim. The waiting time was maybe 5 minutes and it was easy to register as a new customer. I love my new look, and it was very reasonably priced compared to places such as Ulta, which overcharge for sometimes bad service. I also got a trim, and my stylist recommended I get long layers to reduce heaviness/stiffness in my look. Good advice, my hair looks great! Very good service, reasonably price, and I got the results I wanted.

I'm updating my review because Mari is no longer at Shear Artistry. She now has her own place called Ceranity Wax & Skin and its at 7696 Hwy 72 W., studio 6, Madison AL 35757.
I stopped by her new spot for a waxing a few weeks ago and it's very nice and cozy. As before she did a great job with the waxing!

What a great salon! I called this week to make an appointment for a cut and color, plus an eyebrow wax and possibly a few other services. They were able to get me in the same week, and they did not disappoint! My stylist, Rachel, was super sweet and did my hair exactly like I had described. She was extremely knowledgeable and talented. I went in for a cut as a walk in and came out very happy! My stylist Michelle was able to fit me in due to a short notice change in her schedule. I love the layout of the Salon. I feel like it's a very calming serene place and the way the Stylists are set up, it gives a real sense of privacy for the clients. Michelle took the time to talk to me about what I wanted, and I feel she did a terrific job. I went ahead and scheduled future appointments with her.
