Entrances smell like fecal matter, but rest of place is alright. Beds are hard, lots of hot water. Prices are steep, but you generally get a good deal for the price

Stayed there last week and the staff was super helpful anything you need just ask and there happy to help or will do the best they can. Food is awesome and good selection of cold food and coffee available all night, showers and rooms are fantastic nice and hot, great laundry services everything you need, fantastic

We didn’t stay overnight but we stopped in for coffee and pastries. Great coffee and such delicious donuts. The staff was very kind and went out of their way to be accommodating and welcoming.

Clean and friendly hotel in a harsh environment. Offers 3 meals per day. Rooms are large and modestly appointed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nice place, they even have a little cafe shop on the first floor. As a picky person, they made my latte perfect the way I wanted. Not to mention their lunch - Chicken Broccoli Casserole was very tasty. Front desk staffs were very friendly. We ordered our lunch the next day and the staffs made me a special diet meal for me. Excellent service.

Spent 3 days on the slope as an engineering consultant, stayed at the Aurora. Room and Bed were simple, comfortable, shower hot, TV enormous, and it was clean. This is not a luxury hotel, or is it? Man, the food! I put on 5 quick lbs in a few days, the food was excellent. The people were great, and the facility is perfect for working up here.

A friend and I were riding motorcycles up to Prudhoe Bay/Coldfoot and were in need of food and lodging. For those who don't know this part of the country, there is no "town/city". This is an industrial area that exists to service the oil industry and constant flow of workers who work in the difficult environment.

The Aurora Hotel caters to oilfield workers on a long-term basis, but who accept wayward travelers like us.

The check-in process was very simple, and the person we dealt with was excellent.

When getting off the island and we have time to stop I enjoy stoping here. Very nice people and very clean. Big enough to get lost. But if you make it to the relax room with pool tables on the other side. Highly recommend it. Great view of lake Coleen. And ds-13 plus the meals are good and the rooms are decent.

After a 14 hour drive from Fairbanks that we did in 12 hours, we were starving. Thank God we booked at Aurora because the food selection is amazing and it's all you can eat and you can get many items to heat up yourself outside of meal times.

The beds are super comfy.
There are 38 TV and movie channels.
All parking spots have plugs for your engine block heater in the winter.
There is a quiet library to read and work on your laptop in addition to a 24 hr gym, and a smoking lounge.

Amazing! Lard Belly got it right. This place was AWESOME. Kiddo and I surprised the hubby by flying up and spending a few days with him in Prudhoe Bay. This was the only hotel that had availability and a room for two. Facility was spotless, salad bar was great, and service was impeccable! As a female and young child, I felt like the entire staff was looking out for us. We enjoyed the pool tables, ping pong, walking around the town (look out for bears!), and visiting with the workers. Lots of wildlife--musk ox, caribou, swans, birds of all species! A wonderful experience, HIGHLY recommend

If you've ever worked or stayed in Prudhoe Bay for whatever reason and have never stayed at the Aurora Hotel you will understand the 5 star rating.

The Aurora Hotel is located just off the main road in Prudhoe off the Haul Road, or Dalton Hwy for all you cheechakos. Stellar accommodations, food, service, and interior design. I have to stress the lifestyle here in the frozen north, and how the only reason for this town's existence is to produce oil, and why it feels like a luxury to stay here.
