Katz Yeshiva High School Of South Florida
In 1993, Rabbi Kenneth Brander, the rabbi of the Boca Raton Synagogue, held discussions with the communal leadership of South Palm Beach County about the creation of the first yeshiva high school between North Miami Beach and Atlanta. In 1996, he organized The Committee to Form a Yeshiva High School, and in 1997 it hired Rabbi Perry Tirschwell to create the school.

Today, Katz Yeshiva High School of South Florida has more than 375 students in grades nine through twelve. In the beginning, KYHS was located on the campus of the Boca Raton Synagogue. We are now in our permanent home, a sprawling 60,000 square foot building with vast fields and a magnificent gym located on the campus of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.

These words of King David in the 34th chapter of Tehillim are referenced on our school's logo and with good reason. Taste and sight are very active senses. One does not passively taste fine cuisine and one does not casually look at a magnificent piece of art. King David challenges us to fully experience Hashem by immersing ourselves actively in pursuit of the knowledge of God.
Katz Yeshiva High School of South Florida welcomes families of all backgrounds who share our goals of academic and spiritual growth for their children. Lunch, which is not included in tuition, can be ordered in advance from the various local establishments and is delivered daily to school. Students may bring lunch from home or purchase from the Grove Cafe.
The goal of Judaic Studies at KYHS is for each student to be engaged in religious growth and to identify as proud, confident, and humble Modern Orthodox Jews. Our four-year curriculum includes an in-depth study of the history and personalities of the Jewish Kings, the Biblical Prophets, and their Writings.
KYHS students have successfully enrolled at and graduated from a range of highly selective colleges, religious and secular, public and private, in-state and out. The vast majority of our graduates matriculate at a college where they will find a considerable, engaged Modern Orthodox community. College Guidance at KYHS begins as early as freshman year and continues through graduation and beyond.
