We are a third-generation excavating contractor, locally owned and operated, and serving the Darke County and surrounding areas for over seventy years. Founded in the 1930's by R.S. Hollinger and his wife Isabelle just north of New Madison, Ohio- the company was originally called Hollinger Gravel & Sand.
Dipping gravel from the pasture behind his home, R.S. (or "Bill" as he was known to his friends), would deliver gravel and sand in the back of his Ford Model T dump truck. This piece of our history is still owned by the family to this day. In later years, Bill passed the company down to his son, Tom and wife Sharon who renamed the company: Tom Hollinger Excavating.

Report
Our home has down spout drainage that runs under the property to a waterway adjacent to the property. Diagnosis of the tile indicated a 20 foot section was collapsed causing water to back up at the home foundation resulting in basement flooding. Hollinger excavating came and was able to fix what had been a year long problem in a few short hours.
