Their eBay customer service is just as bad as their in-person customer service apparently is! They listed an item with the "Make an Offer" option but then never responded--not with a counter-offer or even a rejection--to any of my offers. When I finally got ahold of them via message and began working with them on shipping options, they sold the piece within the couple of hours it took me to get a quote and didn't even reply to let me know. Definitely not a shop I'd ever buy from in person or on eBay.

STEALERS! They were hired to do an estate sale. Stating they could make $$$$. They took weeks to set up and only advertised 1 day before the sale, which produced maybe 25 people to show up. They priced things WAY too high and then on the 2nd day of sales offered things at 1/2 off, and it was still too expensive. They even broke items, including the wood on my stairs and never spoke to us about repairing/replacing/or paying for the items. The people that came to help out took more stuff home than items sold, doubt they paid for the stuff. This is truly a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE company.

This is a nice high end vintage thrift store. It is a small store but they curate their products well. They had nice used couches in excellent condition ranging from $700-1300, accent chairs $250-500. It's more of a boutique/antique/cosignment shop than a thrift store, but if you are shopping for unique or rare items at a higher price point, it's definitely worth a visit.

My experience with The Perfect Thing has been exceptional in every way. All of the associates have been polite and helpful. I moved out of state and needed to sell all of my furniture and most other household items. They offered fair prices on the items they were able to sell and worked with me after my move to sell a few remaining items. I couldn't have accomplished my move without them! They have bee PERFECT!

I just left one of their estate sales extremely disappointed.......I was interested in a pair of chairs and called my husband to make sure they would fit where I wanted to put them since they were bigger then I anticipated. One of the ladies rudely interrupted my conversation without saying excuse me and angrily pointed at me with the words" you need to make a decision immediately because I have other clients that want to buy them now. Now I completely understand her predicament but the way she handled the situation was humiliating. She spoke to me like a child in front of a bunch of strangers

Judith Martin of Perfect Thing ran an estate sale at my father's house and did a wonderful job with very short notice at a holiday time. Dad passed away in September 2018 and we learned at Thanksgiving that the bank that held his reverse mortgage (he lived alone) wanted everything out of the house by Christmas to put it up for sale. Our family had lived there 56 years, and we had tons of family stuff including furnishings, collections of generations of family items, Dad's model railroad collection, thousands of LPs and records, so much memorabilia from his 65 year career on radio and

I recently visited one of The Perfect Thing estate sales and was treated rudely by every person I encountered. I go to estate sales all the time and I was floored by the curt and unprofessional behavior of the sales people - one of whom was in charge. I will make sure we don't stop at one of their sales again. I read some other reviews of the company with the same comment of rude treatment so it seems there is a pattern here. I don't normally even write reviews, but the attitude I got at the sale was so awful I felt compelled to say something here.

Eh. It's ok. Overpriced but nice stuff. Saw a cabinet I loved but for $1,000., I could buy new that was in better shape. Some cool lamps and glasswear but left empty handed because I just couldn't pull the trigger on used items that are that expensive. I'm all about resale shopping but maybe not furniture or home decor. Guess I prefer new to used.

The store has moved to downtown Wheaton now. I stopped in earlier this year, fell in love with an armoire and a unique wall chest. They have independent movers you can hire to get your purchases delivered. I am very VERY happy with my pieces and they look as good as new, plus the quality is there. I will make this a regular stop to see what's available. You never know when your

They donated my chair to charity without giving any formal warning they were going to do so. I had a 90 day agreement with them and emailed at the end of it asking for an update May 24th . It didn't sell but the owner Kate offered to extend it through the end of June. By mid July they donated it without any FYI of come get your chair or we are donating. (To their 'defense' Kate did ask me in the May 24th email what I wanted to do with the chair if it didn't sell but I didn't reply since I was unsure and kinda of hoped it would be sold, but she obviously had my email

I LOVE this store or used to. I was in last week they're having a big sale so I was quite excited. My excitement was dampened with the first ten minutes. The owners should know whoever is behind the counter and in the office are completely ruining your business. The snarky behavior completely ruined this store- the same Place I wrote a review praising the shop -having the best people ,items, pricey but amazing. However the same girl and I say girl because last month when I made a small purchase she was a sweet women, and I shrugged off her comments about the boss ( who from her conversation

Looking for the Perfect Thing? Sure, you'll find it here (if that thing is a home furnishing), but then most likely leave in tears because you can't afford it or because of the damage you just did to your credit card. Even though we got a friendly "hello" when we walked in, I don't think the staff really believed we were their choice customer, and no one checked in on us as we perused.
The items in this shop are TOTALLY beautiful- couches, tables, armoires, mirrors, rugs, etc etc, but the prices will definitely hurt the wallet. We saw a nice large mirror that was $800

Easily my favorite consignment shop AND estate liquidation firm in the entire Chicagoland area.
Consistently friendly service and exceptionally good prices for high quality, well curated consignments of furniture, accessories, rugs, and so much more.
Major kudos to a wonderful, family owned company in the heart of Chicago!

I freaking love this place. They have the coolest stuff ever. However, I have to drop a star because some of the stuff is really overpriced.
Staff is friendly and you can spend at least an hour in here browsing and have fun
I shop resale and vintage shops a lot and you have to know your stuff if you shop here. You can do better at an estate sale if you are looking for antique or vintage furniture. BUT, if you want some cool sterling candle sticks or funky framed pictures this is a great place. Plus, it's in Danada Square so you can park and visit this place and get a bite to eat.

My partner and I had been in several times to shop and had a pretty good experience as buyers. It's not fabulous and the prices are a little high for us, but we did stop by whenever we were in the area because we're both collectors and the variety of items is great.
However, our experience as (potential) sellers was much worse. My parents are antique dealers, so usually if we have something and we need info about it, we send a pic to my parents. In this case, the items were early 20th century art giveaways as well as region-specific pieces, so my parents encouraged us to try to sell

As a regular at the Perfect Thing, I find the gentleman's (Brad E.) comments regarding the sales staff laughable. My husband and I have gotten several beautiful pieces of furniture and often come in just to see what cool new things they've gotten. While the ladies of the store are friendly and bright, neither I nor my husband have ever seen them being flirtatious in any way. I have yet to see the described "revealing" clothing, they are always professionally dressed.
The Perfect Thing is a great place to shop. The owners really know their sfuff and if you didn't

I love the Perfect Thing. I went in there just to look and found the perfect desk and dinner table- both great quality at a great price. They had every piece of furniture you could imagine in there, and they are always getting new things.
We had our purchases delivered to the city, which cost a little more but was definitely worth it. The movers were polite, fast and extremely careful.
It was a great experience all around and I will be back!

OMG what is this place? Is it consignment? Then why are the prices soooooooooooo high? Is it strictly resale? I cannot image what kind of person would buy anything here. If some of this stuff had been in my home ~ it would have gone in the garbage. I cannot figure out where this stuff came from.
The oriental carpets were abundant but showed that the people that owned them did not know how to take care of them ~ lots of broken threads from using the wrong type of vacuum.
It certainly makes one appreciate what one has.
P.S. It is now located in Wheaton Town Square.
