REVIEW FOR RUDY'S CUSTOM UPHOLSTERY IN SAN ANTONIO TX NOT HOLLYWOOD CALIFORNIA - I wanted a couch reupholstered and spoke to “Rudy” quite a few times about the job. I was assured that the work would be done in a professional manner and that the quality was superior. I also asked Rudy to order extra material for a sheet cover. I like to cover my furniture. When I got the couch back, the cushions were flatter than they were originally. I called Rudy and he literally told me to wait a couple months. I did not get the cover either and the made some cushion covers that never stay on- I have to fix

I had to bring in the car three times before he said he'd do the work. then when i dropped it off and had a ride home, he upped the price. then instead of stitching my seat he GLUED it together, it looks HORRIBLE. Got glue all over my seat. Ruined it. I wish I took this car anywhere else. TIME TO PACK UP AND CALL IT A DAY. What stinks is that he did a good job on my other car years ago, I can't believe he did such a poor job this time and treated me a repeat customer so badly.

When I bought a 10 year old car there were a couple of things that needed to be addressed. One of the things that annoy me the most was the final was pulling away from the side doors near the windows. That's when I came into the shop and they were able to fix it quickly and had a great price. It's now two years later and the repair is still holding. I have a hardtop convertible so I will not ever need to come in for a newcloth top but they really loved watching the top go up and down on my car.

I took my convertible to have the glass rear window reattached after it came unglued. He charged me $90 it took all day, I had to park it a block away then bring my keys back to him. The job seemed mediocre at first with glue residue all over the window and he didn't re connect the wires for rear defrost. He was too busy talking on the phone to bother answering any of my questions when I picked it up, just had his wife tell me to leave it for 2 days. I stopped by for a quick quote on some repairs for my sunroof...when I mention about my car audio system no working properly, Pedro quickly hop into my car, did his magic and fix my car audio system with ease and didn't charge me a single penny! Rudy and his assistant simply did a great job upholstering my motorcycle seat that I'm trying to turn into a cafe racer. I gave them a simple metal plate and they padded, added leather and stitched up the whole thing very nicely.
It now looks like a $1,000 custom seat! I'm very happy.

I have to change this review. The owner of Rudy's is an incredibly nice guy, so I felt obligated to leave a nice review. But I was just inspired to change it to an honest one out of respect to potential customers.
Rudy's made a couple of custom parts for me. One was done well, but the other was not. They redid the work and really improved on it, and I'm very happy with the result and with what it ended up costing. It looks great!
But I had to really bite my tongue through the process. The worst of it isn't that they put parts covered in wet black paint in the interior
