Dr. Block was born in New York and completed his education at Brooklyn College earning a degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training. Dr. Block earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 1992 and went on to complete his post doctorate residency at the Kale Chiropractic Hospital and Research Center in Spartanburg South Carolina.
Dr. Callahan was born in Charleston, South Carolina to a Navy family and moved around a bunch before settling into the Hampton Roads area and becoming an alumni to Kellam High School locally. She joined the United States Air Force right out of high school and earned an Associate of Arts degree specializing in Arabic Linguistics.
Since her early teenage years, she always wanted to be part of a health care profession. It wasn't until she found out the thousands of opportunities that one could have to help people in different ways, that she chose to focus her studies in chiropractic. She started her studies in Biology at Universidad del Sagrado Corazn in San Juan, PR.
We offer "In house" workshops as well as "On-site" workshops on health topics such as ADHD, A Woman's Approach to Balancing Hormones, Safety in the Workplace, Stress and Health, Nutrition, Stretch Yourself to a More Comfortable Lifestyle, and many others. These workshops are routinely provided at churches, civic groups, businesses and to help companies provide a learning environment for their employees.

First, the doctor was wonderful. She listened to my concerns and gave a great adjustment.
I can confirm with the other reviewers that no, everyone is not wearing a mask in this medical office. Not the staff and not the patients. I wore mine as I have a newborn at home.
I scheduled two appointments, one for myself and one for my husband, for adjustments AND massage. The last time we were here before this recent visit was 2017. Apparently, our appointments were just for adjustments and not for both adjustment and massage like I asked for. I didn't know this until my husband went to his appointment

Our family has been with Block Family Chiro for over three years now and we absolutely love this office. All of the doctors and office staff are fantastic. They’ve seen me through two pregnancies, newborn adjustments and everything in between. But what sets this office apart from the others we’ve been to is their genuine desire to see our family thrive and flourish. They fully invest in their patients’ health and well-being and not just the aches and pains we walk in with.

Have been coming to Dr Block for years and years. He has a Chiro team that is AMAZING! My favorite thing about his office is having many physical therapists in house at the same location. The massages are a wonderful addition to the adjustments! Everyone is friendly, it’s clean and we will continue to be patients!

The staff is absolutely amazing! I've been a patient for years. If there's an indication of how much I love their office, I now live in California and I am still a patient at their office. Dr Block is amazing!! The other Doctors are as well. The staff is warm and friendly. I love my massage therapist! I always feel 1000% better when I visit.

I have a long history of lower back pain and tingling and pain down both arms that had been getting worse. I couldn't drive 5 minutes without hands going numb and hurting and I would wake up with pain 3-4 times a night. Friends and coworkers highly recommended Dr Block and had nothing but praise. Now I understand why. Dr Block adjusted once and I was able to make a 16 hour drive with no issues at all and slept the best I have in years! Dr Block and all of the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable, and most of all you don't feel like a "patient". My wife and I are now part of the family and
