Sunup Bakery
Healthy and delicious take-out is what we do! Breakfast all-day or lunch daily. There is something for everyone from vegetarians to meat lovers alike! We know you are in a hurry to get on the mountain skiing and snowboarding or mountain biking and hiking, to get to your tee time, to get back to the house before the family wakes up - so when you need to grab breakfast or lunch and take it with you, we are here.

Or if you want to grab a nice coffee drink and spend your morning lazily sipping it while sitting on our deck reading the local paper and watching the cars go by, you can do that too. Really cute place, nice front deck with a few seats to enjoy coffee in the sun and fresh air. We were visiting from the Philadelphia area, celebrating a birthday in which I had phoned earlier in the week and ordered a specialty cake for a small group.
Services
We use local dairy, eggs, fruit and vegetables when available. We bake all of our breads and bakery items on premise daily using King Arthur flours. Our cheeses come from Cabot Creamery of Montpelier, VT and Maplebrook Farm of Bennington, VT. Delicious, naturally raised, free range chicken from Misty Knoll Farms of New Haven, VT, and bacon and deli meats from Vermont Smoke & Cure of Barre, VT.
If you are watching your carbs and you'd like us to "hold the bread" - ask us to put any of the above sandwich combos in a bowl! Help yourself at our self-serve coffee bar. We use only the finest locally roasted coffees and espresso. Our most popular coffee is our Organic Sumatra - from Benbows Coffee Roasters in Bar Harbour, ME.
All sandwiches served on our fresh homemade italian roll, honey wheat oat bread, or white or whole wheat wrap. We proudly offer the following farm fresh and local ingredients: Vermont Fresh pesto, Maplebrook Farms mozzarella cheese, Vermont Creamery goat cheese, Green Mountain Smokehouse turkey and ham, Misty Knoll organic chicken, Cabot cheddar.

Love this tiny bakery for stocking up on breakfast or grabbing a quick lunch on the way to or from the mountain. Their breakfast sandwiches are freshly made and while I've never eaten lunch here, their lunch menu (Vermont Cubano, Smoked Salmon BLT, Veggie Burger, Rosemary Chicken Sandwich, etc.) loons amazing. They have a tiny lending library out front if you're looking to leave a book/take a book and the service is always excellent. Great coffee options too!

After taking sandwich order, they completely ignoring our order for more than 35 mins. The place was not crowed when I stepped in.
I was wondering why all other customers came in 25 mins later getting their orders.
The store informed that they forgot our order and wanted to start making them. No apologies at all. When I requested for refund on the sandwiches, and they handed out less money than we paid. Even though discrepancy of amount was small, I had to insist to get the correct amount back when I was told to forget the amount difference because it is Christmas time, and they are short staffed

Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. We got bacon egg and cheese and sausage egg and cheese and they're both delicious. I'm from NY and we have a lot of delis but, hands down, sunup breakfast sandwiches are way better. And it's very close to Killington Mt. :)

An excellent place to stop for a quick breakfast before hitting the mountain. They had many options and the sandwiches we ordered came out fast and were very good. The bacon was incredible and so were their homemade biscuits.

Loved this local bakery. After a full day at Killington, stopped in for coffee and a great chocolate/peppermint cookie. Next time I'll definitely plan to get some sandwiches. Highly recommend this cozy spot for all your baked good needs!

During the Leaf Peepin’ and Ski Season, do not come here expecting a 5 minute turnaround. This is hands down the best spot for breakfast and is smaller than 100 sqft. Utilize your patience. However, expect to find the BEST Breakfast Sandwich IN TOWN. Apple Cider and Maple Latte are a must have. I suggest the croissant with your sandwich.

My daughter and I had a couple of the breakfast sandwiches on bagels. Delicous and VERY filling. We easily could have shared. Later we bought other treats; I had some kind of apple bread pudding muffin that was fantastic, and she had a peanut butter brownie. Again, you can easily share each. Great quality and value.

Awesome sandwiches ( we did the sausage, egg and cheddar and the avocado/egg/salsa sandwiches). Their baked goods are also amazing to bring with you as a snack on a long day or just to give yourself a treat. Try the Maple Latte ❣️

The BEST place in Killington for breakfast or lunch sandwiches. Gluten free options are yummy too.
Their hours are limited and they sometimes close early, so I usually call if it's within an hour of their published closing time.

This is a cozy little place with super nice staff! The coffee is great, and the food is decent. They've got sandwiches and bagels that are good for a quick start on your day. But what you really want to try are their muffins. We had the blueberry muffin and every piece of it was pure bliss!

The cutesy little bakery with delectable morning pastries. The chorizo and cheddar breakfast sandwich was amazing! They have very beautifully decorated cakes and great coffee. Not too much space to sit inside but it works in the time of COVID. Second year here and the food has remained just as tasty as I remember it. Bonus: there's a lending library out front!

Salmon breakfast bagel straight slap!!! Every morning I come here to get a salmon breakfast bagel in a couple app or all cider donuts before I hit the slopes it is a great way to start my morning and always taste delicious. The employees are nice and while the morning it is a little crowded inside and you might have to wait outside it's always worth the wait and calling ahead makes it much easier!

This little bakery was pretty cute! It's really small though so with covid they only allowed a limited amount of people in there and you may have to wait in your car for your order (unless they only did that to us because we were Asian..)

Anyways, I got the salmon breakfast sandwich and it was bad! I got mine on an everything bagel. I will give it a 3/5 because my bagel was really hard it and hurt the roof of my mouth. Also because I didn't taste but of "everything". I may have high standards because I've tasted an everything bagel before and you can taste EVERYTHING

Breakfast sandwiches were great! Tried the special with maple butter biscuits which were really tasty. Hot chocolate came out pretty lukewarm; not sure if that was intentional.

Thank goodness they have this in town! It's a much needed and adorable coffee shop!! The bakery items are not only gorgeous but tasty! The breakfast sandwiches are great! A must! My only complaint is the staff was not overly warm. Hurried you and were slightly rude. Maybe it was just a bad day. It won't stop me from going back! Great coffee and food!

We got breakfast and coffee here 3 out of the 4 days that we stayed in Killington in July and wish we hadn't gone someplace else that one day.
The highlights for us were the sticky buns, the breakfast sandwich and the cream cheese. I splurged on an iced maple latte after balking at the price the first few trips and it was worth every penny of the $6 . The bagels weren't the chewy New York bagels that we like the best, but they were damn good for VT bagels and I would take any opportunity I could to eat that Green Mountain cream cheese.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful,

Cute bakery with friendly staff. Visited here during my last ski trip to Killington. The valley has a sweet vibe with ID breakfast foods (sweets, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches).
The coffee was good too. I ordered a latte which was to sweet for me which I didn't like but I also don't like my coffee sweet. I should have asked for less syrup.
I look forward to returning during our t next visit to Killington!

What a great place to grab a delicious breakfast before starting your day. We all had the special. Biscuit with maple butter, bacon, egg, and cheese. Heaven! I also enjoyed a maple latte but would've like more maple flavor.

Awesome awesome awesome. Fresh local incredients for a top knot has breakfast. There are only about six chairs in the place and it gets crowded but totally worth it.

Had the turnover blueberry muffins and eggs sandwiches. All near the best of the best.

Try it you won't be disappointed.

Updated review since I was there this afternoon. So the espresso bread pudding has grown on me. It has actually become a stop I have to make every time we go up to Killington.

We were late getting in today and since it was close to lunch, I decided to get sandwiches from here when I stopped for my muffins. I checked out the menu online and called to order as their site suggests. You could tell that the person I spoke to was not happy having to take a phone order. I ordered 3 sandwiches. After I ordered 1 and added another you could hear the tone in her voice and then the 3rd sandwich really pushed
