Originally founded in 1950 in order to supply a local contractor with material, the business quickly grew into a full-service building supply company designed with contractors and homeowners in mind.
By 1960, Jack Hopkins had bought the business; Eastford Building Supply was born and has been going strong ever since. After managing the business for 2 years, the torch was passed to Ray Bergeron in 2005, who is now the present owner.

They are friendly, until you order a custom object with exact measurements and they send you a product that requires extra modifications. Then they put the blame back on you after you tell them exactly what you need. They lost my business for good, and I will never recommend them for anything to anyone. I’d rather watch Home Depot grow after this. At least they make it right when you tell them they gave you an unsatisfactory product.

Best building supply co. in the tri-state area! Can't say enough about the people, the service and the quality of their products. I and many other trades men use them just about exclusively. Lumber, paint, hardware, cabinets, doors & windows, plumbing, electrical ect.... Family owned and operated. And I have always felt like family there. Great group of people always going the extra mile.
