Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center offers short-term rehabilitation, long-term, respite and hospice care. Our dedicated staff provides individualized care with compassion, dignity and respect. Thank you to Nadia, the Portuguese Ambassador and the girls that helped with the Portuguese festival. My mother is doing rehab there and we attended the festival. She speaks Portuguese so the language barrier has been difficult for her. Nadia has been a godsend for her and other Portuguese speaking residents. It was nice to see everyone enjoying the food and music. I hope they continue to do activities like this because it was nice to see my mother smiling and happy

My cousin is a patient living in your facility. I live far away and had lost touch with him for many years. I was recently reconnected through the Ambassador program. Nadia has been instrumental in caring for my cousin and facilitating our reunion. I have been able to see and speak to my cousin through a social media platform, with Nadia's assistance. She is kind, caring, and takes excellent care of my cousin's needs. He is looking well cared for and healthy. I hope this program continues and is able to help more families in the future. Much appreciation from me and my family!

I am happy and satisfied with the care that my grandmother has received at Northwood Rehab. She is treated with both caring hands and hearts. I want to thank Nadia my grandmothers Ambassador for taking care of her patients as if they were her own family members. As well as her CAN Martha for always making sure she eats and is healthy. During these difficult times when we were no longer able to visit, Nadia had made sure to FaceTime us all the time to reassure that our grandmother and the family always kept in contact. I spent 8 days in Northwood rehab and although my first night was rough, the director of admissions Nancy made me comfortable and assured me that my stay would be better and it was. The care from all the nursing staff including Pt was very kind and caring. I would definitely recommend this rehab if you needed short.

I am not gonna lie I do have some reservations about Northwood. Both my parents were there we never really had issues with the care that my mom receives but we did with my dad. We unfortunately lost him back in April from Covid. As everyone can imagine I was anxious and nervous because I could not go and see my mom because of the pandemic especially since she does not speak the English language, how would I know if she was eating, taking her meds and being changed properly. It was a very stressful time for myself and siblings.

My father had a stroke in August and is now under the care of Northwood after leaving Encompass. My family is thankful for the ambassador program as my father does not speak English, this program has made our lives easier and bearable as we are not able to visit. I can see how happy my father is when he is with Nadia (one of the Portuguese ambassadors), the pictures we have been receiving along with the daily face time visits cannot be put into words. My family is truly touched, it has made such a big difference in our lives.

I am extremely happy and satisfied with the care that my aunt has received since arriving at Northwood Rehab in May of 2019. She is treated with both caring hands and hearts which has helped to make an easy transition from home to rehab/long term care at the age of 95. They treat her like family instead of just as a patient. I witness, on my multiple weekly visits, the excellent care she receives from her nurses, nursing aids and therapists. She is also greeted and helped daily by so many other staff members including the dining room staff to the wonderful ladies who run all the outings and activities

Horrible place. The facility is old and run down. Some of the staff are kind and caring but others are terrible. Lots of stealing from patients. Food is awful. They don't follow diet restrictions of the patients facility is dirty and run down. Upper management should be ashamed of themselves. This is no way to treat people. I saw two staff get in a physical fight at the nurses station. They appear to be understaffed often. Terrible horrible is the only way to describe this place.
