Specialty Steel Supply is one of the largest distributors of austenitic, precipitation hardened, duplex and martensitic stainless steel round bar as well as various nickels. Due to our on-site waterjets, centerless grinders, hydraulic press straighteners and other equipment we are able to create custom pump shafts and other custom products with a quick turnaround.

We have a wide range of products including XM19, 17-4, Nitronic 50, Nitronic 60, the 300 series and the 400 series among others, and we offer many in-house services. We are able to provide welding, heat treating, bar turning, forging and honing in addition to many other processes. Because this is all done in-house, it is not only more convenient for our customers, we are also able to be accountable for the tracking of crucial turnaround items.

Our extensive experience and dedication to producing high quality products allows Specialty Steel to serve a wide variety of industries and applications. Through building strong relationships with our customers, we are able to help maximize total cost reductions in many technically oriented markets and applications.
Alloys are created to produce advantages that the pure metals cannot offer on their own. Austenitic stainless steels have high nickel and chromium contents which provide a level of corrosion resistance that is superior to any other category of stainless steel. This category is also known for its ductility and weldability as well as for its ability to withstand extremely low temperatures.
If you need Nitronic 50 Round Bar for your manufacturing process, let Houston-based Specialty Steel Supply deliver the goods. We are one of the largest distributors of austenitic, precipitation hardened, duplex and martensitic stainless steels in the United States. Nitronic 50 Round Bar is one of our many product choices in our extensive, stainless-steel round bar line in sizes ranging from one-inch diameter to four-inch diameter.
XM-19 Stainless Steel, a highly fabricable, highly weldable, nitrogen strengthened, austenitic stainless steel, provides twice the yield strength of stainless steel type 316 and a resistance to corrosion equivalent to type 316. Even after extreme forming, XM-19 Stainless Steel stays non-magnetic. Due to all these advantages, it is often used in boat shafting, marine hardware, pumps, valves, and fasteners.
Grade 321 Stainless Steel is much like 304, except the addition of titanium provides for better weldability. Grade 321 Stainless Steel alloy, also has better intergranular corrosion resistance and chromium carbide formation resistance than 304.

Stainless steel type 321 can be used continuously at temperatures anywhere from 800° F to 1500° F. In its annealed form, 321 Stainless Steel alloy normally has a magnetic permeability less than 1.02 at 200H.

The worse bar stock that I have ever seen.
It has grind marks on the bars in several places and it's out any where from .280 to .580
