Treasure Coast Dermatology
The dermatology field has made formidable progress in accurately diagnosing illnesses and problems sooner than ever before. In providing early diagnosis, the most accurate and curative measures can reverse some conditions and even save lives. Make your appointment for a skin check today. I've lived in Florida for 20 years and for the first 4 or 5 years, I was searching for a good dermatologist because I have lots of skin damage.

When I started with Dr. Ioannides in 2004, I found him to be the most professional dermatologist I have ever been to. I would feel comfortable recommending him to anybody. His whole practice is top-shelf. Dr. Ioannides did an excellent job of reconstruction on my nose after about half was removed due to cancer.

Basal Cell Carcinoma
Report
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of cancer worldwide. In the vast majority of cases, it is thought to be caused by exposure to the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. BCCs are becoming more common, perhaps because people may be spending more time outdoors. Some believe that the decrease in the ozone layer is allowing more ultraviolet radiation from the sun to reach the earth's surface.

We do not know the exact cause of SKs. However, almost everybody will eventually develop at least a few of these growths. They are sometimes referred to as "barnacles of old age". These become more common and more numerous with advancing age. Some people develop many over time, while others develop only a few.
