Mischa is our front office coordinator and will usually be the first smile you see when you walk into Zion Dental. Mischa has several years experience working in the medical field and is excited about being part of the team. Mischa moved to Hurricane in 2016 to be closer to family and escape big city life.

A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

I am terrified of the dentist and usually dread going to the dentist, but Dr Powell and his staff at Zion Dental are amazing! They did a really great job of explaining the health of my teeth and gums to me, recommending great products to help with my cotton mouth, and making sure I felt comfortable. They are also great conversationalists and truly seem to care about their patients. I highly recommend them!

Both my son and I went in for a simple filing. I had to go back a second time because his assistant did a horrible job on the filing. He drilled it all out, and I think more, as that tooth has been sensitive ever since. My boys tooth has also been super sensitive since, and got so bad while on vacation, we had to schedule an emergency visit. The dentist said it looked like the feeling was right on the nerve, and he would now need a root canal. Horrible dentist and staff! Advise stay away!

Dr. Powell has been our dentist for years and we have had the best experience with his office! He is attentive, explains everything he is doing, and is very gentle - a HUGE PLUS in a dental office. Going to see the dentist no longer feels like the worst because Dr. Powell makes the visits enjoyable. You can even choose your own music and shows to watch while your teeth are being worked on! Been a patient with Zion Dental for about three years. Friendly, professional staff in an attractive, comfortable setting. During my appointment this week, a flatscreen tv was lowered next to me with remote and my choice of movie. Was icing to watch "Mandalorian" from my chair, but I highly recommend them for their dental expertise.

Dr. Powell and his staff are wonderful. As soon as you walk in the door, you feel welcome and appreciated. Dr Powell let’s you chose the best option for you and never forces you to do something that isn’t needed. I always feared going to the dentist and Zion Dental has changed that!
