Todd Etter our founder started as a young boy watching his father and loving the construction/excavation field. Once he turned the age of 17 he went to work at Vernon Nagel where he learned all about the importance of quality. Sand Ridge Excavating was established in 2000 in which Todd worked full time at Vernon Nagel, farmed, and part time on his own business.
The hard work he and family and friends put in to the business has payed off. We now are able to provide professional excavation services for both residential and commercial projects. We always strive for the greatest quality while still trying to have fair pricing. We are qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation so we are able to bid on ODOT jobs.

Services
Ponds are our specialty. We've been doing them for years! We have our dedicated pond crew solely working on them, which lets us get a pond done as soon as a week or so, depending on the weather. We dig over 30 ponds a year, due to the popularity of our ponds we serve on a first come first serve basis and will try our best to be as fast as possible.
In the beginning we work with you to stake out the desired shape and size for the pond they want. Once it is all ready we will check to make sure that the dirt is able to hold water. If it isn't then we recommend that the pond is not dug but if you still want it dug there are some options. Most of these options are very costly though!
We have the equipment and technology to install and repair your tile needs. Our high tech GPS and Laser Grade systems ensure that all tile is placed at the correct grade, so all tile moves water properly and efficiently. This technology also plays a big role in our ditch work. No matter what is used to move the water it is important that the right grade is set, so the water doesn't get backed up and flood.
If you live in an area where there is no centralized septic plant then you will need to clean all of your wastewater in your own smaller system. This technology has been time-tested and proven to work time after time. It will treat all wastewater from bathrooms, kitchen drains, and laundry. All of the wastewater from the house flows to on main drainage pipe.
