Situated in the Eastern portion of Chelan County, Chelan is one the most well-known vacation spots for part-time residents and tourists. The area of Chelan was named after its original inhabitants - a Native American tribe called the Chelan. Over the years, their numbers dwindled significantly due to sicknesses, outbreaks, and diseases.
Brewster is the gateway to the Okanogan and Methow River Valleys, and is centrally located just 30 minutes from Chelan, Twisp, Winthrop, and Omak. Located on the Columbia River between the mouth of the Methow and Okanogan Rivers, and known as the premier apple and cherry growing are in North Central Washington.
Lake Chelan, just 15 minutes away from the city of Chelan. Home to around 1,400 people, Manson is the ultimate vacation destination with plenty of recreational activities and more than 300 days of sunshine. It is also home to more wineries and orchards than in any other part of the Chelan Valley. In 1912, the unincorporated town of Manson was named after Manson F. Backus, the president of the Lake Chelan Land Company.
