John Gregory offers 36 years of experience in all phases of men's and women's hair cutting. John received his training from the Vidal Sassoon School of Hairdressing in London and at the Vidal Sassoon Salon in New York City where he worked as a stylist. He started his career as a barber at the age of sixteen and has been working as a hair stylist since 1969.
At John Gregory we specialize in Hair Cutting and Coloring. With many years of experience in the industry including working for the Vidal Sassoon Salon in NYC for two years and training at the Vidal Sasson School of Hairdressing in London, John and Debra bring experience found no where else. We take great pride in our hair cutting and hair coloring skills and we are always current with new trends.

Lying, manipulating and unprofessional! Debra, the owner, had the audacity to call me a week after services to tell me she “forgot to charge me for something and her manager told her so.” Manager? You mean your husband or the devil on your shoulder? You should be ashamed! For what you charged me, then manipulated even after I tipped you 20%…. I would NEVER recommend somebody that rips people of, takes advantage of you and then is unprofessional! What a joke!

Today was the first time I visited the salon. I have been very concerned about Covid. After an email assuring that protocols are followed I made an appointment to have my hair colored and cut after 4 months.
The salon was clean, everyone was wearing masks and there was social distancing between chairs.
My stylist, Donna, was excellent. Her attention to detail was amazing. I left with perfect color and style, feeling like a new person.

I had my hair cut last week by Debra, the co owner. I showed her a picture, one I've used many times before with stylists. I wanted my hair cut two inches overall, with two inches also cut off the shorter layer. When I left the shop I couldn't really tell how it all looked as it was dried differently than the way I dry it. So, after washing and drying at home I saw how butchered my simple haircut was. I been going to JG on & off for over 5 years. I had a terrible experience today with the salon. Debra the owner was rude, condescending and truly doesn't know how to treat customers. A happy customer will be a returning customer. A dissatisfied customer will never go back and will tell everyone she knows to never step foot in your salon. It's your salon's loss for lots of future business....

Debra was nice from the phone call to the final do.
I colored my hair at home because I'm new in town and tried a couple of places wasn't happy. But a disaster happened at home with the color, and Debra listened to me and she fixed it....I will be keeping these guys, everyone in there is nice and helpful, I felt like I was an old client which is wonderful. Recently moved to Lakewood Ranch and saw the reviews for this salon. Donna had me come in for a consultation. We hit it off and I loved her ideas she had for my hair. I have been to her several times now and I am so glad I found Donna. My hair color is rich and my hair style is perfect for me. The salon is intimate but yet inviting.

Terrific salon...techniques, colors, expertise...outstanding service and personel. Prices are good. Looked all over for great hair care...found it here. From Houston but love to come to FL for cuts and colors. Terin and John have both cut my hair always percise.

I read reviews on yelp and decided to try John Gregory salon. How fortunate for me that Tarin had an opening! I walked in needing color and left feeling like I just had the most amazing makeover. I needed a cut but didn't know what I wanted just self conscious about going too short. I left with the most flattering haircut I have ever had! Don't even think twice call and get an appt!!
