We are an Open Credit Union, our membership includes any person living in Reno county and the surrounding counties. Depositors are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. Government Agency, up to at least $250,000.

We are a small credit union, that offers many services designed to meet and exceed your credit union expectations. We invite you to explore our website to see exactly how we can take care of your financial needs. Once you've explored our website, we invite you to come into our credit union and see for yourself what a difference it makes when you do business with your neighbors.
Services
We're a Credit Union! If you know about Credit Unions then you know that we are a not-for-profit cooperative, member owned, with a Board of Directors who volunteer their time and services. If you have an account with us, then you are one of our member-owners. Credit Unions exist for members to help members, not to create a profit for stockholders.
Members will be eligible for free check cashing when they: 1. Have a total savings balance of $100 or greater OR 2. Have other active accounts (checking, IRA, loan, Certificates). Members not meeting the above may be subject to a check cashing fee at the rate of $1.00 per hundred to cash any check or withdrawal of their entire direct deposit.
We have a variety of forms necessary to conduct our business relationship with our members. Checking/Savings application, debit card application, membership application, loan application, change of address form and E-statement authorization form are available to you. If you need assistance in completing one of the forms just give us a call, we will be happy to help.
Disclosures provide members with the information that outlines the legal relationship between member and credit union. Disclosures explain how a service is set up to work and how it is governed according to regulations. We will give you our Disclosures when you open an account with us. We have provided Disclosures on our website that you may print off at any time.
What started as a simple goodwill-vision of a handful of people has grown into a thriving and competitive institution with the same goals at heart. Founded in February of 1941 by the employees of Morton Salt Inc. in Hutchinson Kansas, Morton Credit Union still exists for one reason. We know that consumers often refer to the place they do financial business as "bank" but there's actually a pretty big difference between a credit union and a bank.
