Shaffer Construction was established in 1976 by Elmer Shaffer, known to many as "Babe."
During the formative years of the company, Babe developed a passion for the art and craftsmanship of masonry. This passion, plus attention to detail, and quality workmanship, has become the hallmark of Shaffer Brothers. Babe was eventually joined by his two sons, Dan and Mike, and their American dream of a family-owned business was underway.

If you want the best foundation your hard-earned money can buy, this is your choice. These walls are 12 inches wide and are filled up with 6 inches of steel rebar reinforced concrete. There is 3 inches of compressed foam, as well as built-in hard plastic studs, every 8 inches, both inside and out. Our ICF walls are reinforced to exceed building codes, in order to give you the strongest possible foundation available.
When we pour concrete outside, we use only the highest strength concrete available (7 bag mix) and add fiber for even more strength. We will apply a broom finish for ultimate traction, as well as a commercial grade sealer to protect the concrete from the elements. The concrete will also be cut for expansion joints, so the concrete does not crack.
