After I posted my initial reviews, the owners of Air Temp Service Co. (Mario and Lori) reached out to me, and wanted to make it right. They're a family owned business, and proud of the work they do.
We talked about the issues with our interactions with their company. After some additional research, I agree that the Nest Thermostat does need a common wire, and its beneficial that we had it installed. The other issues were due to the technician that was working with us at that time. That technician was removed from the company a few weeks after the work at my house was complete. The technician

Its unfortunate that a company based out of the town that I live in can be so dishonest and unprofessional. I have a VERY slow leak in my central AC unit...I know I do. I have an HVAC company come out every August and fill it when it starts losing its cool. Always needs 2lbs, anything close to 2.5 lbs and the unit stops blowing cold air all together. So its May and I decide to be proactive. I call Air Temp Services because they are locally owned and received what I can only guess are fake positive reviews.
