On Dec 23., 2021 the nursing home (Stonebrook) sent an order for my walker to Hometown. 6 days later Hometown faxed a request that a doctor's reason was needed. Stonebrook didn't reply. Hometown did not follow up, and they waited 6 days to even ask for the Dr's note. 12 days later the patient (me) is still waiting for my walker!

This is a repost of my review on Yelp! My customer service experience with Hometown Medical Supply in San Jose has been great. My 93 year old mother was ordered a new walker by her PT /OT team and Hometown delivered it to her house. The first walker ordered was too large, so hometown delivered a new smaller walker to her. No problem. The new walker was not configured like we needed it, and Hometown quickly gave us the parts we needed. Now some people may consider 3 tries to get the right configuration a fail, but I don't know what was ordered. What I do know is that Hometown has been accommodating

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Office girls are rude and hang up on you after waiting on hold forever. Technitions are untrained, un certified with questionable backgrounds(criminals/undocumented). Lalit only cares about money Not the patient! I've had to buy tires for my wheelchair for the last 2 years because they can't get the job done. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

The rehab center my dad was released from used this company to order a toilet seat raiser w/handle for him almost 2 months ago. First they sent a foot support for him (????), then after more than 20 phone calls and follow-ups from me and weeks later they sent another wrong item (a toilet seat without the handle). To make the story short I had to drive 16 miles each way (4 times) to return this wrong item, and follow-up to get items we needed (which at the end it never happened, because of their bad customer service, different excuses and fraudulent ways) . For your sake don't waste your time with

This company has had its issues in the past. Mostly with relocation, some staff issues. But after 4 yrs. Of maintence repairs on a 10yr. Old chair. Today Im am happy with my new 2019 Quickie 700.
They knew my needs required more than just a chair. Mine reclines, leg lifts, and the fact that it goes 5 miles a hour, is awesome. Im very outdoorsy kind of person. And comfort is key. Thank you to all the staff at Hometown Medical Supplies.

I've been trying to get the motorized wheelchair they brought me fixed for almost a year now. The one they brought me has a problem with steering which has been dangerous at times. I'm going to again report them to MediCare. Next time I'll go elsewhere.
The phone system is lousy, if you can even get through.

Needed to get a transport wheel chair for my father. Was told to contact Hometown medical supplies as they are the only ones in my area that excepts insurance. Apparently all others operate out of pocket only.
I looked them up on Yelp and gave them a call. There was 3 people on the line ahead of me, the automated answering service stated I had 4 minutes or less to wait. The automated answering service started counting down backwards once it hit one minute it's started counting back up I ended up waiting 40 minutes for someone answer the phone. 0 stars for answering service. When I finally spoke

Answering Service is awful. I waited 57 minutes, then hung up. I was on the phone on my way to a luncheon. Had to hang up when I got to the restaurant. Tried again on my way home. Finally, got someone to answer after being on hold for 54 minutes. I have had to continually call the company concerning my mother's wheelchair. After one year, the company informed me that Medicare had rejected the claim and they were coming to repossess the wheelchair. My mother requires a wheelchair as per her orthopedic surgeon and primary care physician. They said that they forgot to tell me. They told me when I

Exasperating experiences. Rarely do they return phone calls. My Doctor's office called me and said they had just gotten off the phone with Hometown and they were delivering the Gel Overlay for the bed tomorrow, Saturday and I should call them. I called and someone said it was not approved and they are waiting for the paperwork from my Doctor's. When I said I had just got off the phone with my Doctor's office who had just gotten off the phone with Hometown and said it would be delivered tomorrow by Hometown, they didn't know what I was talking about! By then my Doctor's office was closed for the

This company helped me get a manual wheelchair. I'm a paraplegic in the manual chair I'm using at the moment is falling apart and causing undue stress and pain in my joints and body. I notified the company within 2 to 3 days that the chair was unusable for me. I was given very little help or inspiration that the situation could be resolved easily and quickly. The wheelchairs that are offered now are made completely different from the quickie I got around nine or 10 years ago. I can't believe that a company would rather stick a disabled man with a chair that is totally unusable for myself. I'm in
