Our recreation program is for the athlete who wishes to grow his or her gymnastics abilities but is not yet ready for competition team. Our competitive Men and Women's gymnastics team consistently produces some of the very best gymnasts in the state and Southeast region. Halloween Week was full of fun at SSGA! Every day the coaches dressed up in different costumes and we had our first pumpkin carving & painting contest.

Services
Southern States Gymnastics Academy is North Alabama's premier gymnastics facility that provides a complete competitive USAG Gymnastics Program for women's and men's gymnastics. Established in 1989, SSGA was founded by head coach & former gymnast Deborah Santos. Debbie's vision was to create a positive, fun, and affordable learning environment for children and families throughout North Alabama.
Our athletes set challenging goals for themselves and we are thrilled to partner with them so that their goals become reality. We believe you will be very pleased with the athletic and mental growth your children achieve. Teamwork and etc. We train each gymnast on all gymnastics apparatus seen in the Olympics and other televised competitions (men's or women's).
SSGA offers the state's most successful Men's Gymnastics program for USAG levels 4-10. Men's gymnastics is composed of six events: Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal Bar. During levels 4-7, athletes will perform specific routines designed to establish sound fundamental skills.
Last year's Diamond Invitational was a tremendous success with over 300 of the state's most talented gymnasts competing for the gold. All gymnasts shined bright like a diamond. That is why we cannot wait for this year's Diamond Invitational. The Diamond Invitational is very dear to Debbie Santos, head coach and owner of SSGA.
