Services
Owens Memorial Chapel opened in 1991 on the grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Park. One of the owners of Forest Lawn, A.G. Owens Jr. and his son, Blain Owens decided that a new funeral home was needed in Lincoln Parish. The father and son team owned and operated the funeral home for 25 years until A. G.'s death.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Staff members of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. A.G. Owens, Jr. is a native of Ruston.
Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery is located at 2500 West California Avenue in Ruston, Louisiana. We are a perpetual care cemetery featuring beautifully landscaped gardens with the finest quality bronze memorials just on the edge of town. Grave spaces in our cemetery range from $700-$1200. Please stop by our office located in Owens Memorial Chapel on the front of the cemetery grounds for more information.
The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation. Additional info: Transportation to crematory, alternative cremation container, crematory fees, and return of ashes to family or other destination.

I just can’t thank these folks enough for kindness and professionalism that I witnessed today as they handled our daughter in law Melinda Adkins funeral service.They showed kindness and consideration toward our entire family from the arrangements to the graveside.and I have never witnessed a more beautifully finished gravesite.Thank y’all for making this difficult time a little easier.

Very nice amazing people here. Kind and compassionate in your time of distress and need. They will do anything to help you and make accomodations to appease grieving family and friends. We all have to go one day and I'd be happy to have them handle my services when that day comes. They have been doing their part in making loss a manageable thing for a long time and they make it possible to focus on what is important during your time of need. 5 stars and a big Thank you.
