Coming from Louisiana Mo to the west I found the Hopewell Winery the perfect weekend hang. Saturday seafood boil and a red and a white, 2 wine glasses and your favorite girl, Live music under the trees. Limited menu and only open 3 day weekends. Taking all our weekend visitors now for a Hopewell hangout.

This is a place I stopped at a couple years ago and revisited today. My wife and had a very enjoyable time. Nice shaded front yard with ample seating. The wine is some of the best I've found in this part of the world-yes, the local terroir and tastes run to sweet, but they have an excellent Cab and other drier choices.
The seafood boil this weekend was terrific, and something they have been doing all summer apparently. Well worth a visit if anywhere nearby.
I've been to many of the wineries in this part of the world and in the major areas around St. Louis, and this is better than most

Nice variety of wines. Great space. Limited food menu. Semi-sweet wines were sweet and the sweet wines are a dessert in themselves. I prefer dry and was content with both the red and white varieties of dry. Our "sommelier" Gina was extremely helpful and friendly. Thanks you for welcoming and entertaining us, Gina!

Great atmosphere, met some awesome folks there. Bob, I'm sorry I don't remember his wife's name and Richard. The hostess, sorry I can't remember her name either, was fun and gave us the grand tour. The blush sweet was our favorite. We had a glass sitting out under the trees in the front. Hope everyone enjoys the new drink named a Julie.
