What is Sugaring? Professional Sugaring is a safe, gentle and effective hair removal method. It is a paste made of all natural sugar, lemon and water, and applied to your skin at room temperature. The heat from your body warms the sugar paste, and it melts into your pores to stick to the hair under the skin.

I went to Lotus Skin Care for the first time the other day for my first ever sugaring (Brazilian wax). Needless to say I'm never going back to EWC.
Their sugaring method was so much better on my skin compared to the traditional EWC waxing. It didn't leave any residue behind nor did it irritate / leave my skin looking red or puffy.
My skin actually felt and looked better after the sugaring - soft, smooth, no excessive redness. However this does not mean it is a painless process, but compared to EWC waxing, this is way better (in my opinion)! You get consistency here

Not only am I glad I switched to sugaring, but I am so thankful I found Izabela. I have never been so comfortable and satisfied with a service. The owner was so kind and did an amazing job!! I got a brazilian wax and I have very sensitive skin plus a beeswax allergy. I was pleasantly surprised that after the sugar wax I was not irritated at all. My skin felt so smooth. The place is cozy and comfortable. She also makes sure that the table is completely disinfected. I will never use razors to shave ever again!

I love Izabela!!!! She is so kind and so professional, she always makes me feel right at home every time I come. The salon is extremely clean and COVID safe- and she always takes the best care of me. I highly recommend anyone who wants to try sugar waxing to come here: I am extremely big on customer service and a friendly environment and Izabela gives more than that. So happy I've discovered Izabela and sugaring! I took about a year off from waxing and wanted to try something different after my skin started reacting to the hard wax at EWC. Izabela made sure I felt comfortable, she wore a mask and gloves and I was the only client in the building. I wore my mask during the treatment as well. Even in my first time coming back after shaving regularly, the experience was mostly painless. A few sensitive areas (and I have sensitive skin) that stung a bit but I'm sure, just like with waxing, it will become even less painful as the hairs start growing back

Using yelp to find a person who does sugar waxing I came across Izabela who's reviews made her seem like a sugar expert! And expert she is!!! She kept the conversation flowing through out the whole process and explained everything very thoroughly!

Once you start getting sugar waxed you will never stop! Izabella is super educated and kind and makes you feel at ease during whatever service you are getting done! She accommodates me with my crazy work schedule and always tries to fit me in for an appointment even if i'm scheduling last minute!! Her salon is very clean and I look forward to going there! Absolutely worth the 35 m ute drive from NY! I can't wait to try the awesome facials they offer next !!!

This was my very first time sugaring/Brazilian and it was definitely not as painful as regular waxing. Izabel was the sweetest ever, she kept me comfortable during the entire process. I live about 40 minutes away from Paramus but would recommend her to anyone! She's literally the best person for the job :)I will for sure be coming back.

I did my first sugaring in Vienna, Austria summer of 2018. After only being able to find sugaring locations in NYC, I went back to regular hard waxing and even after being consistent for a year, I couldn't bear the pain any longer. Hard wax no more!! Izabela was amazing !! So happy to find a professional who clearly knows what they're doing in Bergen County. I would say the pain level is 50% less than hard wax, and I see no sign of redness or irritation as I would with regular waxing. Can't wait to come back.

I will make this short and sweet. If you need to get waxed go to Lotus Skin Care. Izabella is awesome!! She is so nice and professional. I stopped waxing because of the pain but I decided to try this place out because I heard sugar waxing is better. After this experience I will never go back to regular waxing. Besides feeling some discomfort on certain sensitive areas it was basically painless. I love sugar waxing and I love Izabella. You won't regret going to her!

Then tried several places looking for a new place to call home. Izabela is sweet, reliable, flexible, and knowledgeable. We talked about my problem areas, and she watches and monitors to look for improvement. Happy to say during my time with Iza I am starting to see the benefits that come with sugaring and I'm hooked!

I've only been here once so far but it's going to be my new go to spot when I'm in the area. I got a Brazilian wax. Before this, I've done hard wax mostly (and soft wax once by mistake). With hard waxing, it takes much much longer and there's a lot of painful tweezing after.
With sugar waxing- it was quick and easy! The prices are also very good and I'm looking forward to trying out some of their facials sometime.
