Framed designs provide transparency, while reinforcing glass with fully framed panels. Framed glass shower enclosures with pivoting doors provide the aesthetic appeal of glass walls with the benefits of full framing. In situations with uneven floors that make installing glass walls difficult, full framing makes an effective solution.
Frameless shower enclosures are almost always the type of shower doors featured in home design shows and advertisements. These shower enclosures will add to the aesthetic appeal of any bathroom, creating a more open concept and space to show off your lovely tile within. Also referred to as Heavy Glass enclosures, frameless enclosures use 3/8" or 1/2" thick glass and use the minimal amount of metal compared to traditional shower doors.
Semi-frameless is a type of framed shower door enclosure that includes only the minimum amount of metal necessary for the stability of the unit. The semi-frameless enclosure has a metal header, and all of the fixed glass has a thin metal frame. The one clear factor in defining a semi-frameless as such is that the glass door itself cannot have a metal frame.
Glass tops are perfect for family herilooms, tables, nightstands, desks, and other surfaces without hiding their beauty. They also safely protect from scratches, dust, and even spills! This is where glass is the actual surface-it makes for a modern-style decor, along with giving the illusion of a more open area.

I needed a cut piece of glass 7.5 x 11.75. Called DMG on a Wednesday to place the order. I explained that I needed it by Thursday afternoon or Friday morning at the latest, because I was traveling on Friday afternoon and would not be back for several weeks. The order taker said she would route it to the schedule board for cutting ASAP. I prepaid the order ($8) and left a phone number. On Thursday at about Noon, I called to check on the status of my order. I was told that it wouldnt be available until next week. Why didn't you call? I said that it would have been better if I had known that when

We had used DMG in the past for multiple projects, and although they were not the cheapest, everything had been completed to a satisfactory level. Our last experience, however, was very different, and we were left with a glass shower enclosure that has poor function, aesthetics, and is frankly unsafe. When we contacted them with our concerns, they stated that we ok'd the emailed estimate and drawings, however, we never received any drawings. They only agreed to correct their mistakes if we paid an additional $1000 on a $2100 job. We will no longer use DMG for our glass needs, and I cannot recommend

When I recently had 2 bathrooms in my house remodeled, I originally went to Wisconsin Shower Door based on the recommendation of my remodeler. When I had issues with their installer (see review for Wisconsin Shower Door) I went to Donovan Mirror & Glass and worked with Rick Hemenway.
Donovan Mirror and Glass did a fantastic job fabricating and installing the shower doors in both bathrooms and ended up being $1800 less expensive than Wisconsin Shower Door.
Since then I have had several mirrors cut and other glass done - each time done well and good service and also less expensive than other
