My name is Pat Coldiron, owner and operator of the Liberty House! We offer overnight accommodations for up to 8 guests. We have an incredible breakfast featuring everything from pancakes to scrambled eggs every morning. In addition to the bed and breakfast, we also have a store filled with all things vintage and even some modern items.
The house was originally built by the Goehner family who immigrated from Germany to Nebraska. The family played a role in building a number of downtown Seward buildings, and the town of Goehner is named after them. I celebrated the 15th Anniversary of operating the Liberty House Bed & Breakfast and Antique Shop in 2017.

In our cozy shop, you will find a multitude of unique gifts for someone special or for yourself! From candles to calendars, jewelry to jam - we have a unique assortment of gifts. Many of our vendors are also local! At first glance, our wide assortment of items may seem overwhelming, but therein lies the excitement!
Need a little get-away? Give us a call! We can arrange a day trip, a weekend trip, or an extended stay. We have three spacious rooms available. Each room has a tv, wireless internet, and a private key to come and go as you please. A full breakfast is served every morning in the dining room. We are just four blocks from downtown Seward and seven blocks away from Concordia University.

My partner and I stayed here for a night when we were driving cross-country this past summer. We LOVED every second and never wanted to leave!! Pat was so welcoming & kind. She was really on top of the COVID-19 precautions and cleaning. She also made us an enormous breakfast and chatted with us all morning about some really fascinating stuff. The room we stayed in was BEAUTIFUL and we had the whole floor to ourselves which was great! The bathrooms were also spotless and stunning. The whole b&b is FILLED with antique stuff and Pat has a lot of great stories about those too. Truly an incredible experience

The hostess is wonderful and accommodating. It was joy to chat with her. The rooms are quaint and cozy. There is a little free library kiosk just outside of the establishment, and the antique store is quite interesting to browse through. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking to stop over near here.

Traveling cross country from California I enjoyed my stay at Liberty House and the surrounding neighborhoods so much that I am now a permanent resident of Seward, Nebraska.
